A common cause for limp mode is some kind of wiring failure near the oil metering pump on the left side of the engine. But without more info, it's impossible to help.

Hey man, this isn't a text message. Can you write out the actual symptoms and what work you've done so far, and some details about the car?
It could be many things, I hope you didn't pay the dealer for this diagnosis

Check the wiring around the throttle body. Those things don't just fail.

Sorry new to this thread. The car ran fine...after work got in and started just great. Put it in reverse and then into first...no power.,thought I was in a higher gear...checked was in first. Hit the accelerator and no rpms..then it started to rev up and then down repeating. No other codes have thrown....

So oil on the intake is not a great sign, perhaps the oil was overfilled at some point. But that's probably not what's causing the throttle body issue. You could certainly try to replace the throttle body, but I would check if the wiring around it is in good shape.

Here's the serviceanual for this code DTC P2106
