TX 04 rx8 6-speed overheading!!

Hell I'm new here. I have a 04 rx8 6speed 105,000 miles the issue I have is that both fan only turn on when it's off and when the ac is on, only the fan from the right side turn on. The left side only turn on when the car is over half of the meter. I bought a PEAK antifreeze 50/50 , but it still gets really hot. I can barely drive the car before the meter goes halfway. The other issue is that I have to wait more then 10 minutes after I turn off the car to turn it back on. Can yall help me??
p.s ignition coil sparks plug and radiator have been change.

Both your cooling system and your engine are shot.

More specifically, I bet you have a clogged thermostat. (temp climbs quickly)

You also almost certainly have low compression in the engine. (can't restart it for 10 minutes)

At this point, I would also be shocked if your coolant seals in the engine are still intact, since you can blow them as low as 220F, and the factory gauge won't start moving until 235F. Repeatedly venturing into temps where the needle moves is basically just beating your engine to death.

Keeping this engine cool is incredibly critical.

Sorry I forgot to say I change the thermostat as well last week. How can you check if the seals are not broken?? And what do you mean by shot??

Shot = dead, busted, damaged, failing, dying. You need a compression test at a dealer (or somewhere else with a rotary engine compression tester, an analog one doesn't work) to confirm that it's dying.

Has this been overheating since the thermostat change? or was it overheating before that too?

Halfway to what? The normal position for the temperature gauge is pretty much halfway - two tics left of the center mark. Or halfway from there to full scale?

Either way, the hot start issue is a real problem, and RIWWP has given you the right plan.

Halfway the meter of the engine and gets half way in 2 minutes , when does the fan usually turn on the prevent overheating?

The ECU turns on the fans at 207F.

Get the cooling system pressure tested. Most corner shops can do it.

Lots of potential problems...

For the fans, they always do the same thing. If not, one is hosed. Start it cold, turn on the AC, and see if they both run. They should both run. If that is not working, start there. Are fuses OK, are connectors OK. I think there are some threads out there for testing fans.

Read through this thread, the big post half way down. Things to check and the order. It is what I would do in the order I would do it in.
