17"x 7 MSW 14 on Blizzak WS70 – 225/50R17 -- were fit on 2004 GT RX-8.

Only driven 12K miles (1 1/2 winters) -- still great tread -- pics to follow.

No TPMS.

Paid $1200 in 2010.

Thanks for the message -- I only had these on in the snow for the 2010/11 Winter in Boston (80+ inches) -- this year we got practically no snow, no fun.

What I can tell people who have never driven with snow tires on this car -- is that you are missing out. It is so fantastically easy to give a little extra gas and push the rear end out, then as soon as you want it to pop back into straight, lift your foot and you are rock steady again. I can't remember one time where I understeered, or fishtailed even close to out of control.

After trying one time without snow tires in 2005, I garaged it (since I could not drive up my driveway, or an on-ramp, or pull away from a stop sign with the stock tires.) Buying the snows in 2010 really changed my whole impression of the car. I guess what I am saying is that if you have not tried this car in the snow with the right tires, go for it.

 

It is getting to be about that time, if anyone needs these. They are just taking up space in the shed.
