Well shell, ya got me there. I don't do servers or any of that stuff. The AH-64D is an amazing machine. If you ever get the chance to look around one I would, it's impressive.

I went a solid 5 tries with AN fittings and my oil cooler+filter relocation. There were issues with leaking between fitting-fitting, hose-fitting, swivels were leaking, it was awful.

I ended up going with JIC crimped fittings and they're waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better looking. Granted they're less flexible and a bit heavier...

My pops flew a chopper in Korea and later Vietnam. I have stood in front of an Apache at an airshow.... quite a beauty indeed!

AN is fine if you buy something of quality, but I'm a firm believer in good Brass or SS JIC fittings. Parker makes the best stuff around. Screw that cheap alum AN crap.

These guys make some really good reusable hose ends, but I don't know if you can buy them direct or where.http://lenzinc.com/products/hose-fittings

You need to get some panels removed and really enjoy the art that is its internal workings.

Do you live in a dust bowl? You need to wash your sh-t, man.

What are you planning to use for engine mounts now?

Mark I did actually. The mounts came with and are designed for this kit.

I'll take a picture of them tonight when I get home at 2330

Welp,

Nothing really to update..

I have the rad/fans/condenser assembled. I'm still waiting for a good comp motor to come through the locations I'm paying attention to.

I still need a few odds and ends as well but I'm getting there.

Wow,

I honestly just keep forgetting to update this.

Well i've gotten a HOST of new parts in.. Well some new some used from the forum.

AF Short shifter, BHR Throttle body spacer, AP midpipe, CF license plate backer. Honestly since im not sitting in my garage i dont even remember.

Welp i finally came across a motor I have to go pick it up probably towards the end of next week.

I know i still need to get an AEM failsafe AFR gauge, WM kit (i will run without this in the beginning). I just ordered two springs for the wastegate.

I also still need to get a BC and all new vacuum line and an AGM battery. I have read vac lines are 4mm and some are 6mm. I was also instructed by my personal "Yoda" to just get 4mm and use them.

If everything goes according to my plan i will have the motor/turbo in before the end of the month.

I still have a bunch more stuff coming in that hasent arrived yet.

Not really a huge update but good enough for the time being.

Legot i plan on getting FAL fans but for the moment i will be running with the stock fans and have them set to turn on at a lower temp.

So yea... It's progressing. As i said in the beginning, very slowly but still progressing.

Figured i'd throw another quick update up.

I purchased a Greddy Profec B spec II boost controller from a member. It should be arriving within the next few days.

Like i said before i have to go pick the motor up sometime towards the end of next week/weekend. Once thats here i'll be moving along pretty quickly. I'll try to take some more pics as when i destroyed my last phone i lost all of my pictures. Some were saved to google but most were lost.

I have to go pick up my other set of fenders as well, hopefully i'll find time tomorrow if not he and I will have to figure out another day sadly.

I actually still need to find an AT counterweight and 2 more blue injectors.

Eitherway im just excited for this to be finished for the time being anyway.

Thats all for now, i'll be at work all night so if i think of something else i'll update.

Well,

I have my new BC. I have wired everything aside from the power wire. The BC will sit in the ashtray position. I ran the wire through the firewall grommet next to the clutch pedal.

I picked up my new fenders which means my old ones can now become test dummys for fender vents.

I have the motor pretty well cleaned up and ready to go. I have to put on the other front cover yet and that'll be that. Then it'll be time to turn it from short block to long block and get it mounted.

Things are moving along slowly and i know i haven't added pics in a while but thats mainly because #1 im too lazy to upload them.
#2 we've been working on a youtube channel for certain things.
#3 did i mention lazy?

I still need two blue injectors and an automatic counterweight. I need an AFR gauge preferrebly the failsafe and i need a WM kit. I also need an AGM battery...and a RE pressure regulator.

There are a few small things like barbed fittings and things of that nature but atm im unsure of the list so i wont post any of it.

Im going to put a WTB thread up here shortly for a few items.

I really wish my engine didn't have the coolant leak when i started this project. Otherwise i may have had the ability to have it done already.

Eitherway she is progressing along nicely given the amount of time i actually have to work on her anymore. But soon she will live again.

I guess thats pretty much it for now.

Welp UPDATE:

I now have a counterweight and two blue injectors coming in the mail now.

My ACT prolite and clutch have arrived today

Once the counterweight and injectors show up im taking the motor up to the diesel garage. Im going to swap front covers out and install the new flywheel etc..

I still need an AFR gauge and an AGM battery.

I do need a WM kit but that'll be my final purchase

Like i said i think i still need another 2 feet of battery cable and mabye some clamps or little things but she's almost ready for the new heart

Thats about it for now..soo...yea..

Welp,

Small update. First, shell check your PM.

So, the counterweight, injectors and drivers motor mount showed up yesterday.
Grommets, o rings, other motor mount and a few other bits will be shipped next week.

The new motor mounts are the updated versions for the RX8 Performance turbo kit. It looks solid, clean welds, well constructed. They are updated to help reduce NVH. (Noise, vibration and harshness)<for those who didn't know.

I'll elaborate more when I post pics but I should be able to get the front covers swapped and flywheel etc bolted up tomorrow afternoon.

That's it for now
