Hey just reserved my room! Spoke to Debbie at the desk. Total was $100.24 with tax and gratuity for just Saturday night...

Does that sound right to everyone or do I need to open up a can of whoop ***?

The group rate is $78 for a single, $88 double per night.
Assuming about 8% VT rooms tax (not sure what it is), the total should be closer to $85 (single) or $85 (double).

You might what to call back and make sure you're booked under "NH Miata" or "Chris or Molly Huot"

Hey Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think it sounded right. I did tell her NH Miata but thats the price she gave me for a room with two queens in it.

I'll have to call her back.

ok, I just tried to makes reservations for 2 nites, the 2nd and 3rd, and got a total of $248. This was a little more then I was expecting, so I asked if that was with the nh miata group rate and was told it was plus tax and gratuity.

I'm fitting this short vacation in between a trip to orlando with kids the week before and my oldest daughters wedding 2 weeks after this trip ( of course, dad's picking up most of the bills).

I still plan on going but may have to make other arrangements...

Pro Clip

Hey all attending this run...

I know this would usually go under a group buy topic BUT I wanted to start offering it to this group first.

I am a dealer for PRO CLIP which makes mounting options for electronic gadgets from Video Screens, to iPods, to cell phones.

The normal price for the RX8 Mount and SWIVELING bracket is $60. I am offering it to anyone including miata owners who may be interested for $40.00 and I will bring them to the meet with me.

I will post some pictures of my own later tonight. I just hooked up G-Force with one the other day and he LOVES it.

You can PM me the make model year of your car and the device you are interested in using it with.

Here is the link for the two mounts that are available.

http://www.proclipusa.com/default.asp

Thanks!

ok, I'm in. Interesting, I got the same exact rooms at this same inn, but went through thier website, and got charged only $205. So much for the nh miata package, of course, this doesn't include the breakfast...see you all on the 2nd...

I didn't have a chance to call Commodore's Inn over this past weekend but seeing as the rates seem to be screwed up, I'll call today, speak with the owners, and get things hashed out.

I'll post up the results ASAP.

Thanks LagunyMyata,

By the way, would you mind posting up a brief time table of events? I know the general idea, but I figured you could provide a better schedual then I can, with my memory...

Thanks,
Tigger!

I'm in

I had followed these forums a few years earlier when I used to live in Manchester, NH. Kinda lost touch the last couple of years.

I'm looking forward to joining all of you for the run. It sure sounds like real fun!!!

I'll be driving in from the South Shore (Weymouth), so - if there is a link up being planned at the border of MA / NH, I'd be interested in that.

C u all soon.

Deepak.

There will definatly be a group heading up Friday night, I'll be sure to keep you up to date as things get closer. Glad you will be joining us! Make sure you book your hotel room Soon!

There seems to have been some confusion on the price, but I believe LagunyMyata has taken care of it... if not it will get straightened out before check out, not to worry, just make sure they know that you are with the "NH Miata" group or "Chris or Molly Huot" and you should be able to book the rate with out a problem... we've been doing this run a while now and the hotel looks forward to our return So ite will all be taken care of.

I'll add your name to the list... this is looking like we will have a great turn out!

Hey All:

Here's the low-down on the room rates:

$180.00 single
$202.24 double

Both nights - Friday and Saturday - breakfast included both days.

The earlier rates were a dollar or two cheaper each, but the VT Rooms and Meals Tax is increasing by 1% as of May 1st, from 9% to 10%

I can see how there was some confusion before - when I called I went through the pricing step by step with the manager. We figured it would be about $100 per night (double) then:

Clerk: "So the total would be two-fourty eight for the weekend."

Me: "That's not right!"

Clerk: "Sure it is!"

Me: "No it isn't!"

This went back and forth for awhile until I finally figured out that she was saying $200.48 in some strange Northern VT sort of way (poke, poke Tigger!).

So the rates were probably right all along.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I'd say you should bring the wife, but 5 kids... that's a bit more challenging

Thanks for the update on the rates... and just cause I was born in VT (which means I can claim ligitamitly to be a Vermonter... doesn't mean I have a speech impediment :P:

Any updates on a rough schedual? I've had a few requests for an idea of what time things are occuring.

Ok I'm in! Got the ok from work and I just booked my room for Friday and Saturday. $89.22 a night X 2 = $178.44 includes taxes, gratuity and breakfast. My wife is taking the girls (all 4) to the beach for the weekend so I don't feel so bad about going now. Hey Tigger, keep me updated if there is a group heading up on Friday. i would love to join in.

I just talked with Chris about this. He told me to show up with my BMW 328i

Il be there unless anyone has objections. It's always nice to support the local High Performance scene.

Here is pictures of my car if anyone is interested.
