Check the yellow pages they usaully advertise on what they are good at. I got a lawyer a few years back for the same thing it cost me 800.00 for lawyer fees but i got out clean with just paying the ticket.

i really didnt care about the price you will pay 4 times that amount in surcharges and fees if you get the points .plus you want someone with good experience in that field.

Well here is what i have done in the past and it has worked.

when i got a ticket in Suffolk county I first postponed my courtdate. Then I showed up and the cop did not show up, so i got lucky once.

then i got a another date then i went to court, saw the cop there and said.. i have to change the date and that was done. Then i showed up to court for the make up cop wasnt there and got out of the ticket.

yes it took ALOT of work and helped that I went to stony brook which is about 15 mins from the suffolk traffic court and didnt really have to miss class through all this.

if u really wanna go with a laywer, pm me your info and ill have my friend call you. He has gone to court with others and helped them out.

The changing the date thing doesn't work around here because the judges have started coming down on Cops for no-shows on court dates... They almost always show now...
