I have seen a lot of 8 lately around the southern MD area. Two yellows, a winning blue, white, and one other red. Trying to see if any of you are on the thread here. Also trying to see if anyone here is up for a meet as well. Anyone interested?

 

Yeah, I'd be up for one. I've been waiting for something local around here. Just to clarify...when you say "southern MD" you mean "DC area," correct?

 

I am probably the other red you have seen in Waldorf.

Southern MD = Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's County.

I am thinking that maybe we can set something up around the Waldorf area since it is so close to the beltway. However... I really don't want to try to set up something and there be some no shows. I could try to work in a place to eat while were at it.

Man these Waldorf people! It makes me want to put out a reminder of the website under some parked 8s wiperblades!

lol Yeah it is. Mike and I just got back from watching Spider Man 3 and were like hum.... (Corny I know :P)

I go up to Dennys often since it is like the only thing to do in the middle of the night rather than sitting in a bar.

I just thought about this but if anyone is the Waldorf area and is bored PM me we could meet up a Dennys. (Not to best place in the world) But atleast I can enjoy some coffee at the same time.

 

If you choose a cheesecake factory, I am fairly certain that Lynn will show up.

Tell me about it! I am waiting for it. Funny thing Tim, I was just about to get back to you and say "Hey! I bet if we were going to Starbucks Tim would come out." You know now that I think about it, there is a new shopping center here that has a Starbucks, and 3 different types of place to eat at. Great size parking area as well.
In my opinion I think it would be a great place to meet at and sit down and eat. Has an outside patio area as well. Heck yeah that would be great!

Ummmm...... Starbucks. Waldorf people should know the spot. Has a Safeway, California Tortilla, Three Brothers, Noodle Company, Red Robin, Starbucks, Famous Daves.

I'm looking for some type of small meet tonight, Saturday, someplace in the DC area.

I'm just looking for a change of scenery for a night instead of sitting mindlessly at a local bar like i've been stuck doing lately.

I guess I'm more looking for something to do than I am looking for an actual meet

I could change the date to Sunday if that helps. I miss seeing Foxy Roxy. I got my 8 fixed finally. Took it to Mike's auto body for the dent. I wanted to go out to your guys place but it would have been too long of a drive to just drop it off.

No sorry that wasn't us last night. Not really sure what to do at this point. It doesn't seem like anyone is comfirming that they are coming. I am still up for something. You can count on two 8s from this end.

 

I would have to say that Sundays event is cancelled. It doesn't seem that I am turning any heads with this. I am however heading to Ocean City tomorrow morning. So I should see Lynn and Tim there right?

I went up to the Arlington Mazda, great dealership. I went to take care of all the recalls the previous owner did not follow up with. New battery, plugs, starter. What more could I ask for? Anyway, I talked to our salesguy, and he was mentioning that they had a cookout of all the MX5s, and Mazda 3/6s a few months ago. He said it turned out great! And Mazda sponsored it and paid for food. They love doing it because I advertises the dealership.

If we can get enough people interested and helping out, we would be willing to set something up.
