So who brings a bucket and sponge to the car wash?
Hey all:
With winter upon us and no warm days in sight, I was wondering who brings a bucket and sponge with them to the car wash? I was thinking about doing this so I can clean my 8 properly. Even with the high pressure wash, it does not remove all the dirt and grime from the paint surface.
If you do bring a bucket, make sure it's later at night as most places frown upon washing your car when other people are waiting in line. My question is, who does this already? I might run out around 8pm tonite to give this a shot :D

Always have used a bucket, sponge, and my own car wash at the high pressure car washes....until I bought a pressure washer that is. No one EVER said a word to me, even with the owner of the place there, and a line waiting. Usually you spend more money when you use a sponge and bucket cause you are more meticulous. The owners seem to understand this here in Columbus, Ohio!
OK... at 9:30pm tonite, I went out and washed my car by hand. I brought a bucket, some microfiber hand towels and some baby shampoo. I was actually suprised how warm the water was to wash my 8. I washed the whole thing in about 5 mins with clean soapy water. Took all but 2 minutes to rinse her off. A few quick jaunts down the highway to dry her off and she is looking good.
Not as good of a job if it was 70+ degree's out, but WAY better than just using the pressure wash. I'm a happy camper!! :D
