ok well let's go with this, r&t ran it at 14.4 and other magazines say 14.5 so for arguement sake, let's say 14.5. well they say the rsx type s runs it at 14.9 @94 but let's say it runs 14.7 once again for arguement sake... the 8 is faster stock for stock.. and u kno what? thats not even my point. my point was that both are great cars, and i just asked why u think the 8 is a slower car than the type s? well enough with this, 8 owners don't really have in mind to use it as a drag car anyway

and the blue rx-8 owner was VERY COCKY and was convinced he'd pull on the RSX, and the video clearly shows otherwise....

Theres i black civic hatch around my way that will tear apart almost any good performance car i know. iam talking about cobra ,gt, evo ,sti , just to name a few .I ALWAYS wonder what he has so dont sleep on thoses hondas .

haha i understand the 8 owner wasn't the most "polite" guy and that probably adds to why u defend the type s so much =P but in that race, clearly it was either the pure difference of driving skills or some hardcore modds on the type s. but just out of curiousity, what do u run on ur is300? if u haven't taken it to the tracks.. what hp? :D i'd like to see it one day

 

well, i have friends who own RX-8's, and usually defend them, but facts are facts, rx-8's are SLOW...and the type S had BOLT ON mods just as the RX-8 had, but the 8 owner was ignorant and cocky...

i've run a 13 @ 114 mph in my IS, so far in only a few tries, at low boost on 19's...I'll be at Etown probably next week, then again april 30th/may st for NHRA spring nationals...

 

13's.... thats pretty fast... good luck in englishtown. but if ur car has 450+ whp... i'd figure that'd be mid/high 11's or low 12's... at least even with decent tires. charles r. hill is running nos with 55 hp shots, with bolt ons, and he gets 12.9-13.2

I said I was running 14 psi, I made 440 @ 15 psi...and 475 @ 16.8 psi..

as I said, TRACTION is key, and I was racing on 19 inch rims and tires...
