Anyone within an hour or so of Providence RI, or anywhere along I-95 south of Providence, to NY, out I-80 through PA have a "spare" midpipe or cat they have laying around, or have their 8 in storage that wouldn't mind a swap for a week?

Just pinpointed my problem as a cat failure, and I have a 10hr trip to SW of Akron OH on Saturday, back on Wednesday, and shouldn't do it with a failing cat. Dealers are closed until after Christmas, so likely wouldn't be able to get in and get a replacement done saturday morning, and don't have the cash to drop on a vendor pipe/cat, even if they could get it here in time, which even overnight delivery would be "sometime" on Saturday at this point.

My only other option is to not go at all. Not leaving my wife without a car, or with my 8 that she has never driven at all, with snow potentially forecasted, and with a failing cat that she wouldn't know what to do if it failed completely and stranded her or caused a fire...etc. Too many risk points.

But haven't seen my siblings in a few years, so trying to figure out a way I still can.

I might risk the 6hr drive to MD to borrow Blackenedwings' cat, which he offered, but adds alot of time to my drive, and that is still 400 miles on a failing cat.


Anyone around that might be able to?
