i'd be all over the evo X, but the design just doesn't appeal to me.. sports cars should be low and flat and wide.. the evo's skinny and tall -_- plus rx8's are way more classy

 

Steven, don't waste your breath....rx8 people need to know that they brought a slow car from the get go..and to start dumping money like that $8-$12.k you can buy a fast car already worked...all this talk about hooking up my 8 ***** please, take a rx7's 13b or 20b drop it in a rx8. Now we will see some ******* speed....no diss to the rx8. I like those cars, i like the 8 stock.

 

You misread what I wrote.

Let's say I have 35k to play with on a car right now. I got my 8 for 21k. I can get an Evo X for 35k. That's where my comparison is.

It won't hold up in 2 years most likely, when the Evo X's are around 22-24K, but the point is made. For 35k, I will have a car that has 300+ whp, has 4 seats, is comfortable, drives well, and looks great. I don't see why I should sell this car and get something else more FI friendly/HP friendly.

Not to mention, there is no reason why I would need 400+ or 500+ hp. I would much rather lower the weight of this car, get a nice fat curve, and do track days and auto-x. So in essence, this car has the perfect amount of power and cost (remember, this car's value is lower than your average sports car) to reach exactly what I want. A nice drive-to-the-track-and-drive-home-after car.

Nada, I understand if the argument was "this car doesn't have enough power". However, if the argument is to just add more power to a wonderful car, then why not? I don't want a FAST car. Fast cars tend to be rougher on the person. There's a reason why I didn't buy an STI.

Nada's a hater hater!! hahaha there's no question that the 8 is not a 'fast' car.. i want a 13b swap SO bad.. there's a white 8 around my neighborhood with a successful 13b swap with a bigass turbo pushing 350rwp with a leaking exhaust... hahaha that's real power right there.

btw jin, if you don't want a fast car, why would you put down 12k into the 8? no logic.. and also, the sti is VERY streetable and the evo x has a very nice ride

When I say fast, I'm talking about cars that do quarter miles and nothing else. I'm not going to just dump all the money into straight line speed in this car. And I'm not going to put the car into realms no one else have seen. Regardless of where I am after the 12k in the car, I'll just be happy with it.

And yes, I know the Evo X is a very nice ride. My friend's gonna get it =p The STI.. ehhh, I've not liked how it feels. It's fast as hell though

haha even with the lack of mods, we're all probably around the same speed.. as long as you're not misfiring or something.
