Poor Neglected RX-8
Poor Neglected RX-8
When visiting my brother in Mass, he pointed out this poor guy. He told me it hadn't moved in months. Front driver's side tire looks to be flat. It's sitting on Brayton Point Rd. in Somerset, MA. Rhode Island plates. Any of the New England folks have any info on it? He's potentially interested in rescuing it . . .
I think thats Copper Red or something.
but whatever it is. its still sad to see another Rotary being owned by someone who should be driving a Geo or Neon.
why Geo or Neon? Cuz it match garbage drivers.

He's expressed an interest in doing that. I'll post a follow up if anything comes of it.
I thought of that too; if so he/she couldn't have picked a stranger place to keep it. It's only a few feet from the sidewalk, and the photo doesn't do justice to what that tree it's under has done to its paint.
Pure speculation, but I have visions of a vengeful former spouse . . . the type who in a divorce takes the dog she never much liked only because the other spouse wants it.
Or they're in the service and on extended duty or equivalent.

maybe. that would pretty spiteful, but i've seen women do some pretty shitty things. :/ men too.
but if it does have a blown motor and you can buy it for a ridiculous price, go for it. tow it to a dealer and get it replaced for free.
the engine has an 8 year/100k mile warranty.

Two years later it's still sitting there with two more years of accumulated grime on it. Looks like it hasn't moved an inch. My brother put a note on the windshield asking if they wanted to sell. The note was taken off, but otherwise no response.
The custodian should be reported to the ASPCR (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Rotaries).

HATER! I actually miss my Geo Tracker quite a bit.
If anything ever happens to my H3 I will replace it with a Tracker in a heartbeat.

very sad. The owner may need a motor and not realize it's under warranty. Or they're in the service and on extended duty or equivalent.
