NOVA Dyno shop

I took my car to Mach V last week to do some WOT runs so I could get some good datalogs for Jeef.
I explained that I needed 2 & 3rd gear WOT runs.
Dan the owner performed the WOT in 3rd and 4th
as that is his usually deal.
I found out that night and called him the next day.
Dan intially tried to tell me that that 3-4 gear pull is what I wanted.
I informed him that 1-2 gear is one map and 3-4 gear is another.
(Thanks Jeef!) Dan redynoed my car for free the next day.
Mach V is a big subie shop but they are interested in the 8.
Anyone up for a RX-8 dyno day?
If we get a good response of 6-8 peps I will contact Jeef to set it up.
Mach V has a dyno day coming up on Jan 8.
I will post my datalog in the EM section

I have dynoed my car there and had some custom work done there. I would be interested, but not until spring.

Jan 8th is a dyno day at the shop.
The cost is $75.00 which is a discount from their usual charge of $100.00.

If we get more interest the RX-8 dyno day may happen in the spring

I would like to. Either that or I would like to Dyno my little MR2.

Though the results from either car might make me sad...well the MR2 not so much, it wasn't a power house anyway but I know the 8 is rated 230 something but...I'm guessing it will be no where near that.

My results were 175 HP and 120 ft lbs of torque (typical for a good running non modified 8).This was a little bit of a surprise as a previously been dynoed at 202 HP. It was on a different dyno which is no longer available.

Main thing is to get a baseline on a dyno which has good repeatability and go from there.

Having said that my mass airflow were 245 g/s with a MMCCSV4.1 flash so I expected above 200 HP.

I used to work right behind Mach V and Dan was always a nice guy and did good work. That was before the RX8 though, lol. I probably won't do a dyno pull but I may jump up there and hang out...
