NJ state inspection

well, i have to take my car to get its nice little insp. sticker before i tint my windows (a big no-no in jersey, but wth), so i took it to a private inspection station. turns out the machine could not "read" the 8's engine (?) so mechanic joe told me to go to the state inspection station, which brings me to my following question. Would it pass NJ **** emission regs with the 5w-30 oil im using? I read somewhere that it was the reason mazda suggested 5w-20 only in the US, because of the emissions. Can anyone answer this? has anyone failed due to oil? Other than that, my 8 runs fine, xcept for the tire light which just went on recently but goes away sometimes.

You'll pass fine, oil doesn't alter emissions.
