Anyone have info on this or a link? I bought amber bulbs but was wondering if I could install bright white ones instead.....

i have clear side markers with the stealth bulbs. the stealth bulbs look chrome, but glow amber.. haven't had any problmes at all and i pass by cops an awful lot..

In the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Law book Title 39:3-50 - Color of Lamps and Reflectors states that:
Clear side markers are allowed if they are facing the front or on the front of the car, and amber only if they are only facing the sides.

The law is ify, luckily on the RX8 they are facing the front.
Ive had mine for awhile and I havent been stopped yet. Most likely you probably wont get a ticket for that.
If you do get this ticket it would cost some where around $54.00.

Could this be why the clear corners stick out about 3/8 of an inch further, to provide somewhat of an easier time seeing them from the front? Just something to think about.

Where did you guys get the chorme ones from? I bought the 194 bulbs from Autolumination.com but I don't like the yellow plastic piece around the connectors of the bulb.

I ordered my clear side markers and chrome bulbs through Mazdatrix. The bulbs cost about $25 and have a lifetime guarentee.

Have you seen some blues with clear side markers recently? It looks good. Go fot it. By the way, I did the stealth bulbs too. I got mine at http://www.stealthauto.com/ff.html
