i hate how the front plate required in this garden state of ours ruins the awesome appearance of the front of our cars. since that petition is never gunna work in our lifetime, i was considering just removing the plate from the car and risking it. who here does this already? do the cops really care? and if i do get caught, what kind of penalties am i going to have on me?

I think the fine is like 40-45 bucks plus it gives a reason for a cop to pull you over and write a ticket. People get this ticket all the time, just depends on the mood of the cop. I didn’t like the Mazda bracket and replaced it one that sets right on the plastic grill. From the side you can’t see the plate. Yes it sucks but it a bit better than the Mazda one.

A friend of mine had a really hooked up civic that he didn't want to put the front plate on so he just put it up in the front windshield of his car...he got pulled over a few times but always managed to talk his way out of getting a ticket for it...on the other hand, sometimes cops will pull you over for speeding but just give you a BS ticket instead of the nasty one for speeding, that might be a good way to get out of a more severe ticket. You could just tell them you bought the car in PA and haven't put the front plate on yet because you don't know how to get the brace on

It’s a universal plate mount available at Wal-Mart or K-Mart for under $10.00. You can use the top two bolts from the Mazda bracket to attach it. Any of the larger auto parts store should have it.

I live in Woodbridge and I keep mine on the front. I don't want to give the cops another reason to pull over a slick fast moving car.
