New to the Forum
I've been lurking on here for about a month since I got my 8. You guys seem pretty knowlegable so I decided I'd stick around.
Last month I started looking around for a replacement daily driver. I went to the dealership near my house where I got my last beater from and we started looking around. I was looking for a sporty 4 door. The 8 was the 4th car I test drove and I fell in love with it.
They wouldn't really budge on the price (04 6spd, 66k $15,500) and said they had somebody else looking at it too. They submitted my bank stuff at like 8:45 at night and then said I'd have to come back the next day.
Went back the next day only to see some other chick driving MY car home. WTF
So I did a search and found only 2 liquid silver 6spds in my area with a wing (yes I needed the rear spoiler lol). I drove to the dealership, test drove her (found some issues, but its workable) and took her home. I paid 12k for an 04 6spd with 64k. Not too bad...considering.
I have seen only 2 other RX-8s in my area. One was red in Linfield and the other was a sexy black behind me on 202 Wed morning.
I do plan on modding her, but not til I'm done with my other car (03 Celica 6spd GT-S which is currently undergoing a complete facelift) and I get the few lil kinks worked out with the 8.
