not only the axle... the guy took off the ENTIREEE front end subframe.. talk about making 283742748332 more painful then it shouldve been :-x

he needs to hide all my wires..he wants to do a clean job, that's why for him, that way is easier, so he can fix anything that he thinks that need to be fixed....he needs to fix my motor mount, and i need to talk to him about making my car

Steve are you set on a ball bearing turbo? I might have a friend with a GT3271 not sure if he still has it he had it rebuilt a couple months back but wanted to upgrade to the GT35

interesting at how ignorant parts of it are at least, the definition that even topgear uses of a true sports car is a 2 door 2 seater car thats quick and nimble around turns

the rx8 is not faster then all rx7s, i guess the OP forgot about the TII which in its final years was pushing around 220

and the renesis was a bad idea.....no matter how you put it, it was highly flawed for the real record that rotaries had, yes lots of engines blow on rx7's but the main brunt of them are turbo

when you have a similar failure rate as an FD, with far less power...n/a, theres a problem

i know you guys love the car, and its a great car for what it is, but everything needs to be taken into perspective, comparing a car from yesteryears to now is just foolish in itself since standards were completely different

each generation was an amazing handling car for its time, and things keep getting better throughout the years, im positive the next generation is going to handle even better, its progress

the whole comparing thing is stupid

especially when you really think about it...the best rotary car ever was probably like the rx3 or something, its sold the most out of all of us and thats really what matters for how great a car was

 

Damn Dave you know u are on the 8 forum. I prob wont be able to save you from the flame storm about to come lol. But my 2cents----- on anytrack stock for stock the Rx8 can wip the FD3S... and doesn't the FD3S have tons of threads on reliabilty mods that need to be done? Compared to the Rx8 which doesn't need any. And most blown motors were due to ignorant people who bought the car and didn't know how to maintain the car. remember the Rx8 was marketed to a broader consumer base. =]


edit: I'm comparing the rx8 to the FD3S bc it was the fastest Rx7.
