I paid a ridiculous amount the 1st year. Went down by a whole grand for the next, and another grand for the coming year Amica / full coverage.. so $170/month now

...and how much does Ray pay???

well...differs from company to company, and rates depend a lot on your driving record, credit history, and lil bs such as affiliations, driving courses and student status.

progressive don't play. i switched cars but stayed with the same policy, when i traded my 06 civic, which was 150 a month. then when the 8 took over, the s.o.b.'s tried to make me cough up $720 the following month, because i had 2 months left until my policy expired, and covering a "coupe sports car" (like the agent said) was way more expensive...and since you can't pay for just two months of insurance, i had to pay as if the 8 was insured for the whole 6 months, so i had to 'catch up' in payments (wtf?!) i told them yeah sure, no other choice.

i still wasnt going to pay that, so i started shopping and ended up with geico. i got discounts for: being affiliated with navy federal credit union, being a military member, not having any (reported) accidents, and having a 3.0 and above gpa average in college. But the main discount came from being covered at the time (by progressive), so i had my new policy set up to begin a day prior to progressive's due payment. I called progressive, told them to STFU and shove that policy up theirs. They settled with me making a regular civic payment, cause that new monthly payment was ridiculous.

so yeah, do your homework before you get ***-raped. i have to say, i pay $200, my not-so-great credit is the culprit for that not being lower. Anyways, i'm almost 25, so that's another discount right there.

Remember the **** state we live in (nj)....we have some of the highest rates in the U.S.

Anyone coming to the meet, guys? i decided to show up after being m.i.a. for a while

I can't make it tonight, weather seems iffy.

I'm heading to a friend's track meet and then got some Senior Awards Night at school. Hopefully, next week will be promising for my attendance
