NE Area Group Install!

Im pm'ed Charles Hill to see if he was willing to come down to the Philly area to do a group nitrous install if anyone was interested and he sent this back
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________________

I would love the opportunity to meet fellow RX-8 owners so if you want to try and organize a group install I can come down with a trunk of tools and we can do not only nitrous installations but also flywheels, intakes/exhausts, brake systems, and pretty much any other mod that doesn't require engine removal (I can't take THAT much time off of work).

While I am down there I would also be happy to work on other makes/models if there are others who need competent, honest work done as well so line that up if you want, too.

My primary objective is to help people become less fearful of working on their own cars and show them just how simple this stuff really is. If you would like to get an idea of my approach and attitude you can p.m. Olddragger, rxeighter, and Marietta8 as I met them all in Atlanta a few years ago and did the same for them. rxeighter(Trace) and I put a ProLite flywheel in his 8 and Olddragger(Denny) and I had plenty of conversation where I encouraged him to do this kind of work himself. Marietta8(Chuck) owns his own shop and I will be using him as a reference for Spike TV (I am auditioing for a new PowerBlock t.v. show).

Of course, I would drive my own 8 down so you all can take a look at it in person and, depending on when this all happens, I may even have shots higher than my current 55 h.p. working for me. Remember, my goal is to use a 150 shot reliably so I might have that done by then (but I am not sure).

If you get vehicles other than the RX-8 involved let me know the model and what they want so I can be best prepared for them.

Thanks, again, for the opportunity to get involved with all you guys from the City of Brotherly Love.

Charles Hill

So basically if we can get a group together of various installs Charles will be willing to come down and help out. I personally have the zex nitrous kit and ACT prolite flywheel to install that i would like help on. So come on lets get a list together of people, cars and installs!

Doubt I'll have the $$ for the mods, but I'd love to show & get some knowledge dropped on me. So I'm not going to add myself to the list, but I'll be there if this goes down (& maybe more directly involved if my money tree starts producing soon ) Assuming, of course, this will be done in the spring/summer.

I also would like to see some of these installs, but do not have these mods to put on. If anyone wants to donate a nitrous kit or a mazdaspeed dual cat-back, I'm happy to accept!!

This is the site that Charles used to order his kit from and this is the only place that i can find the price that low. I am ordering my kit from them as well.

http://morepowerracing.com/fnaxwa120...133-1969-1991/

And lurch any help would be great I pm'ed you back about installing a Viper Alarm with remote start on my 6MT.

There is alot of interest already, we have to get something together even if everyone isnt there for an install it will just be a huge meet/ get together. I just got my 8 so i am very interested in meeting everyone and having a great time. I hope this will work out!

Charles, if you could try to post this group buy up in the group buy section so that the entire site knows about it. If you can do that i dont think 5 units maybe even 10 should be a problem.

Thanks for all the help Charles,
Jay

this sounds like fun. The opportunity of installing stuff with a little guidance.

I would also be interested. Just depending when. Is it going to be done at a shop, parking lot, someones house?

I have to admit that I would like to talk to my mazda guy and see how he reacts about the nitrous and warranty. Meaning if it would totally void the warranty or just void whatever it affects.

Yes, I have heard of the Magnusson Moss act. I just would like to see their general reaction. They have been pretty good with getting everything fixed that needs to be with out a problem, maybe I might be lucky enough for them to extend there good grace.

Any how, I would still be interested in driving down from Albany and learning a few things.

Now the hard part, what should be installed.

Oh and by the way Charles thanks for getting involved with things like this and lurch thanks for willing to give a helping hand.

depending on how many people show up this is going to be alot of work to do in one garage. i was thinking of a large flat parking lot or something like that. If not that is anyone willing to "sponsor" this group install at their house??

So for any mods, and in Philly? I doubt I'll have to get to my pulleys before March, so its always an option..

Yes any mods and any make and model of car. Pulleys, nitrous, exhaust, clutch and flywheels, one touch up and down mods, stereos, speakers, short shifters, you name it we can do it!
