Motorcycle Classes - Group Discount
This is just a feeler for now, no dates have been set.
I spoke to someone at the Streetwise Cycle School (http://www.streetwisecycleschool.com/) about a group discount and he can give us 10% off the list price if we bring 5 or more. I picked that school because they offer more then the Rebel and Nighthawk which are the only bikes the other schools have; the Hyosung is closer to a sport bike then the rest. They are also the closest to Boston.
Basic Rider Course (BRC)
* Tuition: $275
* Designed for the student with little or no riding experience.
* The only pre-requisite is that you can ride a pedal bicycle and that you have a driver's license or permit.
* Motorcycles (250cc or less) are provided at no additional charge.
* Helmets are available for free to students who do not have their own.
* 15 hour course (5 hours classroom, 10 hours riding). Every Saturday & Sunday.
* Pass the course, get your motorcycle license without the need for an RMV road test.
* Receive 10% limited discount on motorcycle insurance for life.
We offer Honda Rebel 250s, Honda Nighthawk 250s, Suzuki DR200SE, Suzuki GZ250s, Kawasaki Eliminator 125s, and Hyosung GT250s
Experienced Rider Course (ERC)
* Tuition: $135.
* Designed for motorcyclists who have at least one year and 1,000 miles of riding experience or riders who have skillfully passed the Basic Rider Course.
* Students use their own motorcycles which are properly insured, registered, and inspected.
* Motorcycles must pass the instructor’s pre-ride safety check. Please respect our neighbors' right to peace and quiet. Only motorcycles equipped with legal mufflers can be used for the ERC. (No straight pipes, please. Street legal aftermarket exhausts are OK).
* 6 hour course
* Pass the course, get your motorcycle license without the need for an RMV road test.
* Receive 10% limited discount on motorcycle insurance for life.
Techniques Covered:
* Rider and Motorcycle Preparation
* Review of Basic Skills
* Advanced Street Riding Strategies
* Traction Management
* Advanced Cornering, Braking, and Swerving Techniques
* Danger of Impaired Riding
Update April 1st:
Anyone interested in the BRC class can pick their own date on any weekend after we have a full list of everyone interested. When registering for the class you will just give them a password to get you the 10% discount.
The ERC is normally scheduled for Monday's but if we can get 12+ then they will give us a weekend class. Once we have the numbers we will schedule a date.
**** If interested please just put which class (BRC or ERC) you would want to take; no more info is needed at this time ****

With the schedule of shows, meets, and cruises on my calendar the ERC class probably won't be until next month.
If you want to take the BRC class, you will just have to use a password (undeterminded as of now) to get the discount and you can sign up for any class on any weekend.
