Monthly Sushi Night for Lower Tri State Rotaries(MD,PA,DE)
Yeah, quite a few of us. I was MD NG for 6 years, Edgewood. My brother who tagged along for the day is Active AF, just finished training and is leaving for Korea on 8/3.
If you guys remember the "crazy old people" bitching at the first beach we went to, well after we left, my mother called the guy that owns the property. He laughed at what the old couple was saying and said we had every right to be there. The couple is not even the caretaker of the property, they just live next door and are nosey with nothing else better to do. He even went as far to say that he was glad the property was actually getting some use and we are welcome back anytime. He added, that if we want to have our next crab feast there, we are more than welcome and he would look forward to us giving the property some good use.
While we were still at the beach, once my parents conviced the old guy why we were there, he was completely cool with us and even got his camera to take some photos. The owner of the property told us he is a great photographer and said we should ask him for a copy of his pics. I'll see what I can get my hands on. The old hag, on the other hand, she was a lost cause but supplied great entertainment with her nagging.

I think I yield in the "Bitchin' 'bout your base!" competition. '85 to '91 at K.I. Siberia, er, K. I. Sawyer AFB, just a little shy of Marquette, near Lake Superior, MI. Seven months of deep snow might be bad, but 8 months of gawd awful heat is worse. I had a taste of that when I was stationed in Wichita KS for two years.
Nice meeting you and your Dad, and good luck with the school!

Yeah, I've had that photoshoot opportunity for 8.5 years...I shoulda got one of each of my 8's next to it lol. It's chillin on the base, along with a hell of a lot of other planes. That one is near the parade grounds - where all the trainees graduate. The bombers are on the other side of the base.
Yeah, when I pointed it out in the catalog and told the dudes at the dealership to get it to me on the double, I thought the color was amazing...when I got it in real life, I saw her, my eyes kinda welled up a little, and then I about creamed myself.

Hehe, I've slept in my 8 ~10-15 times. I do enough long distance trips, and it doesn't always give me an opportunity to get a bed. I actually find my 8 about as comfortable as my bed at home. Yeah, my bed isn't the greatest, but my 8 is quite comfortable.

Indeed, The route I used to commute home from work when I lived in another house than the one Im in now, I used to take a nap at a pit stop on the way home, gave me rest and time for traffic to lighten up,,,
