Monthly Sushi Night for Lower Tri State Rotaries(MD,PA,DE)
Damn phsalex, I wish it wasn't 4 hours from me.. I would have def been there... I feel bad that only you and you buddy showed up.. Is there a location that would be equal distant so everyone would have a better chance of making it?
back when this was actively running, we had a different state each moth and it cycled so it was fair for everyone, maybe youd drive 4 hrs to one but the next one would be in your state, and the person from each month's state would plan the meet for that month. juss sayin how we used to do it.

sounds good, but if we follow previous years formulas, with having the meet on the third weekend of the month it will conflict with anyone who is planning on going to DGRR. But I still feel you need ample time to send out pms and advertise in on the forum allowing people to plan ahead. Unlike the last couple meets where people thought they could just post once or twice and magically 40 cars would show up. You must do some leg work ot make it work...

haha jk. But seriously, yeah setting these things up is a lot of work, whoever is organizing has to be on top of everyone, almost in everyone's face, or else you get a bunch or people that forget/fall off the boat/aren't paying attention/wish they had more notice, etc you get the drift. Gotta be 100% decided on a good location with good parking with a specific date and time in mind, and also helpful when a reservation is set with the location (if its an eating place). With that said, who's up next?!P.S. If we're going to keep calling these sushi meets, lets keep it to sushi places. A lot of them serve alternatives to sushi for those that dont partake, but lets keep it in the ballpark
im sure some would agree.
That only happens when i post

that's primarily why I stopped organizing them, I got tired of hearing people bitch and whine about not wanting sushi, but they didn't want to do any of the work involved in organizing said meet so the meet dwindled away into obscurity. I don't mind organizing it as long as there are some legit people that want to come hang out for several hrs, ARE WILLING TO DRIVE MORE THAN AN HOUR TO GET SOMEWHERE ONE MONTH KNOWING THE NEXT MONTH COULD BE 15 MINS AWAY FOR THEM, talk cars, DO NOT ACT LIKE ASININE CHILDREN BY DOING STUPID **** LIKE REV THEIR ENGINES BECAUSE THEY JUST PUT ON AN INTAKE OR EXHAUST AND DO BURNOUTS IN THE PARKING LOTS, and eat some delicious Asian food.
Can we try April 15? the week before DGRR, or should we wait until the 3rd week of May before Memorial day weekend??? BTW what state's turn is it to host the sushi meet????
Greg is right, we have to keep a low profile.
I thought you were going to the Rotary Dyno day on the 15th?? I know i was planning on going and getting base numbers down.
End of april is crappy for me because NASA just loaded up the last two weeks with HPDE's.

Oh crap the guy confirmed yesterday, nice! It looks like we can't make it the 15th lol
