Saw Darkrose/Pat posts in other threads when I was checking out pictures of other shinka mods. Apparently Darkrose lives like 10 minutes from me in Levittown or that general area. I'm surprised I've never seen her car before. I'm always up that way.
I'd love to see Pat's car in person too. I was just looking at pics of it on the tri-state website.
So now that I've totally hijacked this thread with purple car talk, did we figure out a date for the next raw fish session yet?

Where in DE were you guys thinking? My old roommate worked at Citi in New Castle and always raved about this sushi place like it was the best one he'd ever been to. I could find out the name if that's in the general area.

Name is Mikimoto's. It's actually in Wilmington. Here's the info:
Mikimoto's
1212 Washington St Wilmington, DE 19801
(302) 656-8638
fax (302) 656-7423

Never been there myself, but he swears by it. Looking at the website it looks pretty nice. Looked at google maps street view, not a great parking lot from what I can tell, but there's a huge parking garage across the street. If there's a roof level, we could probably get some nice photos with the skyline.

O.o !! Been to Mikimotos couple of times, it is really good, and the place is nice too... kinda pricy but really nice, worth going. !! A lot of ppl in there during the weekends (fri & sat), but if you guys go on Sunday prob won't be that many ppl i think (parking might me a bitch tho... their parking place is small). You guys can always park at the YMCA diagonal/across of the restaurant (that's where I always parked the time I have been there / dun know if it still there tho since I haven't been there for a couple of years).
Finally nice choice Failsafe !

Problem is parking. Wilmington is a city where the carpets roll up at 5:00. Not sure how late the garages are open until. I would put this in the maybe pile.
My sushi eating coworkers also told me of another place in northern Delaware that is suppose to be very good.
I think Chico has several spots he is currently looking into so I will leave this one up to him.

We can keep this in mind for another time. I wanted to chime in with my opinion of some of the restaurants. I'm in no way trying to step on Chico who is researching some places and planning the event for May.
And yeah I agree with Nvrfalter. I have been in some of the garages late at night without a problem but I'm not sure I would feel comfortable parking my 8 there if it had high dollar mods and wheels.
I had my car parked on the other side of town (which I had been told is decent) visiting some friends and someone tried stealing the factory wheels. Yeah believe it or not.

Thanks for the info about leaving a nice car just sitting around, but you being from DE you have just as much say on it as Chico,,, you guys should get together and coordinate the effort...

I am a new mazda rx8 owner from Bear, DE. (Just purchased a silver 05 on Saturday) I would be interested in meeting other owners, and I LOVE sushi. Sounds like a great idea!
