I'm considering hitting the real track instead the 19th/20th. I didn't recall that there is a NASA event at NJMP that weekend, or assumed that I couldn't make it. But I can. Haven't been to the track yet this year and I have a 2 day credit with NASA because of having to cancel April's track weekend, so it's really tempting.

If I recall that he is >300whp, then yeah, he would probably win. His car could easily be lighter than mine too, and if not, it's probably close.

I would be literally paying to see that race with a blown motor!! lol

I drove the 8 yesterday pretty hard but still have not redlined it. I need someplace really flat bc it is tricky watching the a/f readings at those speeds. Now that I live in the hinterlands!!

I am sure the miata is faster. I have the grand touring model. Plus miatas are always faster.

I miss my msm. Still have yet to ever see another Lava Orange one. I see a LY RX8 like once a week.

Oh, I was thinking that the comparison was to your MR2 (unless I have wires crossed somewhere and it is someone else's MR2 that 200 keeps referring to).

Yeah, I'd almost certainly win against your S/C 8

All MSMs had the same factory lip spoiler from the factory. Anything else would be aftermarket.

The factory one:

Yikes that spoiler is hideous! Prob just a punk high schooler that threw a $20 eBay "mazdaspeed" badge on his POS one.

I do appreciate the LOM pic too RIWWP.

Honestly your MSM might have been faster than my mr2. It only had 270 tq at the wheels. But a MR layout should take a FR layout from a standstill. Weight distribution was a "fun to drive" 33/66 !

I am somewhere around 210wtq 230whp at the moment. Even though I'll pick up more power from the tuning, torque won't climb much, if any, and I would still be power limited at about 270whp, and torque limited around 240wtq from engine strength limits.

2,490lbs here, 52/48 weight distribution as of my corner balance. I'm pretty sure the MR2 would be faster.

Yeah I forgot how portly the MSM was. Crazy that my base MR2 with no power steering only weighed around 2700-2800. Granted after the motor swap it was prob 3000-3100 but it was a much larger car (relatively speaking!).

Argh... back when I was cool and owned sports cars....

A Co-worker of mine just came back from a vacation. He took his bike on RT-125(per my recommendation). He said its one of the best PA roads hes been on, and to watch out for cops

Edit: neat vid.

If you get enough cars then have 1 go down the length of the road to check for cops along the way and park at the end of it to update the group via walkies.

Or hire a bandit to throw them off your trail...
