MD/DC/VA Autocross
The club is hosting our 17th autocross event. Sunday Oct 26th at Rosecroft Raceway just outside the the Captial Beltway at Md Route 4. $25 members, $30 nonmembers (plus helmet rental, if needed) Here's the scoop...
Drivers start your engines for MAX-17!! Registration is open at www.MSCW.com.
Experience the engineering designed into your vehicle first hand. Autocross events are low to medium speed auto racing events generally held in parking lots. Autocrosses navigate a series of decreasing and increasing, on-camber, off camber turns, slaloms and straights defined by traffic cones, all while racing against the clock. While our autocrosses are timed events, the spirit and nature of our event is fun and maximizing your time behind the wheel. There are no prizes or awards; however, participants may use this competition as part of their qualifications for MazdaSpeed Competition parts.
Beginners as well as experienced autocrossers are welcome to participate. Good clean safe fun is the order of the day. Space is limited for drivers; register early.

Yet another reason to come to the autocross tomorrow.
......................If you are a Mazda RX7 or RX8 Owner, and register on Sunday morning for BOTH Mazda Sportscar Club of Washington membership AND to participate in the MSCW MAX-Series autocross at Rosecroft Raceway in Maryland, the Rotary Revolution Mazda Specialty Shop in Chantilly, Virginia will enter you into a drawing for a $100.00 discount coupon good towards the purchase of a Racing Beat stainless exhaust system for your automobile.
The "Revolution" is offering this promotion to RX7 and RX8 owners as a celebration of the relationship it has enjoyed with Anaheim, California's Racing Beat, Inc, one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of exceptional performance components for Mazda's flagship sportscars for over twenty-plus years. Racing Beat, maker of one of the best cat-back exhaust systems for the twin-turbo RX7, is in the process of testing and developing a number of excellent components for Mazda's new RX8.
There will be two seperate drawings at Rosecroft Raceway on Sunday for RX7 and RX8 owners. The winner of each drawing will receive a gift certificate that will be redeemable exclusively at the Rotary Revolution shop in Chantilly, Virginia AFTER January 1st, 2004, and good towards the purchase of a Racing Beat exhaust system for their automobile.
Terms and conditions are as follows: Winners may NOT transfer or sell winning tickets to other individuals. Drawing winners must purchase their Racing Beat exhaust systems through Rotary Revolution no sooner than January 1st, 2004, but no later than March 1st, 2004 for their respective vehicles. Exhaust systems are subject to availability from Racing Beat. Principles of the Rotary Revolution reserve the right to limit membership to the Mazda Sportscar Club of Washington, Inc, for the purpose of registering for this promotional event.
Hope to see you there!
Rotary Revolution @ Performance Buyers Club
Remember to set your clocks back one hour tonight or you will be there before the course is set up and may have to help.:D

Lot's of fun today! And the rain held off till it was over.
The RX-8 was great on the autocross. We had three attend. Mine, Dave's wining blue and Denise with her Velocity Red only 5 days old! I think she still kept it under 7000rpm.
Several of the folks there are also going to join us for the Scenic Drive next weekend. See related thread....

Message from Rotary Revolution.
The drawing was not rigged, I promise. Only three RX-8s attended so it was a 1-in-3 shot for the prize.
The Rotary Revolution @ Performance Buyers Club would like to thank you for participating in, as well as assisting with the MAX-Series autocross that took place at Rosecroft Raceway yesterday.
We would also like to congratulate MSCW club members Carl Cordes and Mark Weller for winning the RR@PBC exhaust system promotion that was co-sponsored in part by Racing Beat.
Anyone who was in attendance and took photographs during the event is encouraged to send images via email to either our
www.performancebuyers.com address or to JD's banzaiRX07@aol.com address so that we can incorporate them onto our Rotary Revolution Photo Gallery in a timely manner.
Thanks!
The Crew of RR@PBC

Yeah - I can finally post on this board!
Kudos to MSCW for setting up the AutoX event - we Mazda6 folks had fun, and enjoyed hanging out with all the other Mazda (and other!) owners.
For those of you that drove RX-8s at that AutoX, there's unedited, higher resolution footage of more runs than the above composite video offers, avalable at http://gcubed.sytes.net/ashu/
Its all composited together into three 100+ Megabyte files.
Enjoy!
