ZoomZoomH, what horror stories have you heard about Darcars? I've heard very good things about their sales dept (service is another story). I went and test drove two RX-8's there and they seemed very professional and nice. They even let me take them out by myself which is something of a rarity since I'm 24 and I suppose most places think I'm just out for a joyride. Any info is appreciated.

 

mainly their hardball sales tactics once they get you to the negotiation table, and it's not just one person that had this experience, i had couple Mazda6 owners and couple Protege owners that bought from them, and based on their sales experience with Darcars, they all said they'll never buy another car from them again.

I had a fairly decent experience at Darcars when I bought my car there. Granted, I went in knowing I'd buy the car that day (if everything checked out), and the price was right. They had a special Internet price that no one else could beat, and the only thing I had to haggle on was the Mazda rebates that they owed me. They did seem very eager to get me in the car, but that's their job. I'm wondering now if I'm one of the few that had a good experience there.

That reminds me though, I need to get back down there so they can repair a small paint defect on the trunk.

Is anyone going to the Agile Auto meet this Saturday at 12 noon? This shop is located right outside of Baltimore. There allowing you to get on the dyno for 3 pulls for $50.

 

I already have a dyno appointment this Saturday at 11am, or else I'd go.
