Can anyone tell me a good place in Queens/Flushing to get a replacement tire? I've got the Dunlop runflats, and the right front tire has a bulge (it had a puncture that was patched).

I'm going to bring it to a local shop or two to get it checked out, but I would like to get it replaced regardless of the verdict.

 

On queens blvd there's a new tier spot that just open.. It's across the street from pops dinner...

 

Pops diner? I know Georgia Diner, and the one next to the Argentinian Steakhouse.

Do you know anyone who works in that tire place? My friend is suggesting to me Ace Protect out in Great Neck.

dude if you're just getting a flat looked at or fixed there are plenty of them in Wiliets point by Shea if you are located in flushing.

if you're bying a tire check tires.com or tirerack.com or even ebay for the best possible prices.

Or if you can get to Exit 57 on the lie on a wednesday before 6 PM there is a mavis right by the meet spot...lol

 

It's a tire that was fixed once before for a flat. Now it's got a nice bulge on the sidewall (will post pics later tonight), and that bodes no well. I'm going to have it checked out first, of course.

I already checked out tirerack.com for replacement tires, but what I'm going to do is get the same one for now, then when the other 3 wear out, I'll get proper performance tires.

I think I know where that diner is located exactly now, I'll look around that area when I'm there again (probably this saturday).

yo that burger king that used to be by pops diner was my favorite. i used to go there alot with the family. too bad its a TD bank now.

Yea you guys are right.... I live not that far from there..... Iam gonna go to binhamton this weekend and now I will really test the 8.... Good 3 hrs drive hopefully I'll make it in 1 full tank..

 

I made it to PA and back on 3/4 of the tank, that's about 230 miles. It was pretty awesome.

First Choice:

You can order your tire on Tire Rack and have them ship it to their address. I trust the labor these guys do.

Second Choice:
2. Redline Auto and Tire Center - 11001 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY‎ - (718) 672-7600‎. Talk to Mario. Kinda slow working prices are fair but what they do well is cheap and good alignments for lowered cars.

well the owner of the place said that there wont be any problems with the authorities. and theyre strict with rules when it comes to people burning out or revving etc.

just a thought though.

416to212 - if anyone agrees to meet it's exit 57 on the LIE. We meet up on Vets HgWy/454. When you come off the LIE go to the 2nd light on the service road. When you arrive to the 2nd light that is Vet HyWy/454. Make a right and proceed about 1/4 mile you will see a big water fountain on the right hand side in front of the Stop & Shop supermarket and next to the Dave & Busters. There will be an entrance right next to Dave & Busters.

We meet by the water fountain.
