Just saying whatz up. I got my car back and had to send it back down to Pettit racing the same week. Something was not right with the motor. So Im carless once again. I hope i'll have it back by the 1st week of May. Or just in time for limerock or The OCC show. I hope to see all of my 8 buds soon.

thanks bro still got the stalling kink to work out. I believe its the rotary extremem intake paired w/the HKS filter. Im gonna put the el cheapo filter back ona dn see if that eliminates the problem. The problem perhaps couldve also been too much air pressure shooting through the intake manifold due to the previous air duct I had...dont really know or can explain why i was still having issues...

Not that i have no duct im gonna try once again w/the RE paired the HKS filter to see if it happens if it does then i'll try the el cheapo filter like i suggested...and if it persists to happen then i will have to look into getting a differant intake system. Jim/heyarnold suggested maybe getting the cobb and monitoring the situation and perhaps shutting off the sensors or what not so we'll see. dont wanna do anything too drastic as i still got over 4 years left of financing and cant afford for my 8 to blow up, lol.

 

but once my 8 is paid off im gonna have to hop on the LI bad wagon and get boosted some how, lol.

 

If it was the Int-X I'd have an idea how to fix stalling, but no idea with the AP.

 

Alzor in qnz had a car pc and we tried to read the computer on test runs but couldnt recreate the issue. its sparratic. comes and goes. so its hard to get a reading. which ios what makes this issue difficult to eliminate. So im gonna just try again now that i have a new bumper w/no air duct to see if it makes a differance. If it happens again i'll try changing the filter and if not then perhaps just try another intake all together...or stick to OEM - sick to my stomach _ YUCK/BARF!!!!

 

do any of you guys know of a wheel shop that can refinish wheels? my lips on my wheels are coroded because of the clear coat peeling. im either gonna have them polished or considering powder coating them and would liek to get an idea of how much it would run me.

I'm there already! I have faith it will happen but we need more people interested that why I brought it up.

 

oh there is interest for sure....its the logistics and planification which will determine if it happens due to the normal planners being too busy with their work schedules and personal life

Usually I roll w/the tuesday night crew in NJ...now that i have relocated my residence to Suffolk (Islandia) the LI pack rolling together to NJ to meet up would be cool....

 

If i have my car im down for rotor jam on any date. I hope its not as hot this year as it was in the pass few.

 

ooh thanx for that link ti. ive been thinkin about gettin my stock rims powdercoated. theres a place about half a mile from my house that does powder coating but i havent stopped in to get price quotes yet. if i ever do ill post it up just incase.

and as for rotorjam i also think the main concern is the interest. john and chris have already been contacted by the strip that it was held at least year and they want to host it again. i think they just wanna know people are interested in it before they plan it and then no one shows up or somethin.

and if it does happen (which i hope) then ill caravan with whoever wants to go from suffolk and nassau. and meeting up with the jersey crew is always cool.
