You have any idea what kinda price range I'd be looking at to strip all the paint and redo it in a 2-tone scheme? Also, any idea how long that would take? weeks, or months?

I'm not doing some kinda intricate design, just a matter of painting certain panels 1 color, and other panels another color. Kinda like the Veilside RX-7 from Tokyo Drift, but different colors.

Some guy I talked to today seemed to think it'd be like 15-20 grand and like 4-5 months of work, which seemed like a ridiculous statement.

Must've thought I was doing some kinda ridiculous restoration job. I don't think the guy had a feel for what I wanted to accomplish.

sounds good. I'll have to learn some photoshop and mock up some pics and see what kinda estimate he gives me. Thanks for the reference, I'll probably use him.

you dont need to ps anything....go to him and tell him what you want....then he will estimate you....if its paint and no body work then it will be much more reasonable depending on how many stages of paint there are

Well, the PS is also for myself, so I can figure exactly how I want it too. Also, its a bit of a drive to do before I have a clear idea in mind.

My car was subject to a hit and run, so my front left fender is dinged up. I plan on having the fender replaced, as well as a full suit of Mazdaspeed dressing, topped off with the paint job.

I am going to get the damage appraised and adjusted soon, but I have a fairly high deductible. Insurance will probly pay out a max of 2k (more likely 1500) and my deductible is 1k. So yes, I will be getting insurance involved, but it won't buy much of the total cost of this project.

According to my insurance, I either have to get an estimate and repair from their approved place, or I have to get an adjuster to come see my car. I already have estimates from 2 other places, including Mazda, and everyone has the same opinion on my damage. I'll pick a fight if it seems like they are low balling me.

Hey all,

As you all might know, the car is totaled. I'm getting rid of some parts so I figured I'd give you local guys first dibs... saves me from having to mail.

We can talk prices but I'm looking at getting about this much, I don't want to go much lower. These things didn't get damaged in the accident as far as I can tell, but I'll take a closer look when I get them off the car... and yes, I'll clean everything out for you.

Vertex Lang Side Skirts - MSRP $580 + Ship... KSRP $450 + free delivery

Vertex Lang Rear Bumper - MSRP $755 + Ship... KSRP $650 + free delivery

Rotary Performance Supercat Midpipe & Gasket Kit MSRP $425 + Ship... KSRP $350 + free delivery

JIC MAGIC Bullet Spartan DE Type-2Ti Cat-Back Exhaust... MSRP $1,900 + Shipping... KSRP $1900 delivery... This is brand new, less than 100 miles on it, I refuse to go lower than this price. It was also a gift and it hurts to let go because I had just put it on the car last week.

Those are the only definite parts I have for right now. I'm pretty sure I'm keeping my speaker set up unless I pick up a car with a system already installed.

You can PM me or hit me up on AIM if you have my sn. All prices are, at this point negotiable, except for the exhaust. All are OBO.

Do you have pictures of the car? I'd like to see interior shots and exterior shots to see if I could pick off anything that I might like for myself.
