What could've caused this?

 

From the picture, it didn't start from the engine compartment. It's hard to know what caused it. They could have been carring something in the trunk that we don't know about. It could have started as an electrical fire due to a bad sound system install.

 

Looks like somebody had time to stop and park on the shoulder before running like hell? Damn, talk about devastating....

Oh snap I just noticed that he has the Front Rotary accent that I want! It's probably sitting in junk yard just wanting to be on the front of my car. Oh the humanity...

 

there are 3 threads.....seems it might have been an electrical short from an amp in the trunk

Would the headlights remain on with a short that could cause that?
