what do you mean install meets?

 

install meets. a meet where people can install what parts they didn't put on yet. the main goal is to start early...then have a big caravan to another location.

Is anyone thinking of setting up a local install meet soon? Sorry to revive a somewhat old thread but I have been wanting to make it to a meet and now that the weather is getting nicer I think we should try and set something up. I also have a weird ticking noise that I would like some other opinions on. Otherwise I am a good set of hands to help some other people with there installs. My amount of knowledge is low, but my enthusiasm is there! Thats gotta count for something right?

 

i want to start the meets up once this freaking snow goes the hell away.

Im down next thursday to help you out wherever you need it. As I said, I dont know much, but both my hands work! HAHA. Also would you be willing to take a look at my ticking noise in the engine bay? I really need some opinions on it, its starting to concern me, and you seem like a pretty knowledgeable guy.

if it is a ticking noise, it probably is your ignition system. pete's shinka had the same thing and it was his ignition. is the ticking noise in your driver's side wheel well area?

 

Friday works for me as well, I have nothing going on. The ticking noise is coming from around the area where the intake tube and oil cap are. I thought it could be the SSV but have still not figured it out. Hopefully we can take a look at it and I can get an idea when we all meet up. I had my coils and plugs done about 8K miles ago, so Im hoping its not the ignition system.

 

So are we getting together on Friday or?
