time for a thread bump.

anyone wanna help me out with my turbo install?

 

just wanted to say hey to everyone else in Hampton roads. ive been looking for a group on here for our area. i see 8's all the time and i just got mine about a month ago. how often do you guys meet. i am defiantly interested. i live down in VA beach.

 

Yeah I might be able to give you a hand - Installed a GT3071R on a Mazdaspeed 3 a few months ago, and have uninstalled/reinstalled the turbo on my Saab an uncountable amount of times.

I work mon-fri but am off weekends; Just got my 8.

 

Sorry, nuke - I'm out of town 3 of the next 4 weekends and working the other.
We don't have a formal meet schedule (we're slackers), but the rotary group meets once a month; the next one's Sept 19th. I'll be headed to VIR that evening.

got the turbo installed and the car running. hopefully you will be seeing me driving my turbo'd 8 around to different meets in the area.

 

Damn, I thought that would be a several weekend job!

 

took 4 days. still not completely finished. i have to wait for some intake parts to be delivered as well as tidy everything up and fix an oil leak.

 

Sup Everybody!! I'm finally back on the scene now, have a few minor kinks to work out with car but the beast lives & breaths again.... How have things been around here? Nuke you get that turbo going yet?

whats up guy im new to the club and want to see if i could come to the next meeting or what ever im only 15 and a half will comewith my dad of cosin.It would be great if you guys could tell me about the next hang out.I have an 04 ti grey 6sp gt it just needs some time and it would look good need to replae front bumper and has no power steering its like driving the fist car made. Please message me more info if possible. Thanks...

 

If the power steering is out, you likely need to pull the intake air box & look for 2 connectors for the power steering unit below it. They are angled to catch water & debris and can short out.

yea it is the greddy se. I dont see many around but the other day I got a peek at the silver mazdaspeed with the rpf1. Sicker in person for sure.

dude man car looks sick. my friends have seen it and told me about it but thats the first time i have ever seen it. i dont really see any hooked up 8s. we need to get up.

 

Nuke, how's the turbo? 40th, thanks for the compliment. After the new year, things should calm down, I think there's a meet coming up in the middle of the month.

 

its coming along slowly. too much work and not enough free time. its in the car now but still not running good. need to install an o2 sensor and start tuning. luckily Kane is here now and has been giving me a hand with it too.

 

That's cool. I want to work on cooling this spring and I'm debating on if I want to get an AP to give me more flexibility than my flash.
