Is anyone from the NE area going to attend? SE is pretty much dead on this site (exactly opposite on the rx7club though :D... Clicky for the rx7club SE thread). We are trying to get something set up so we all can meet on the same day (sunday looks like the magical day at right now). MazdaSport magazine is hosting MazdaDays and it would be great to have a nice turnout of Mazdas.

Dunno.. website doesn't say anything about how many runs for each car per session. It would suck to pay 99 for only one chance shot... I can ask and see if I can get some more information on that.

You ask I deliver haha. Here is some information on the lap battle (info will be up on the website tonight, but I can give you a synopsis of it). Deep breath.....
The deal is this, for the $99 you can get about 20 laps to post your fastest lap time if you run all 3 days. There is no elimination... just keep runing until you get a really fast time or the time runs out haha. At the end the winners are who ever gets the top 3 fastest laps over the 3 days for each manufacturer category. The drivers are devided into 4 groups of 20. There is 1 hour (50min drive time, 10min change time) for each group each day to do runs (with 1 extra hours for groups 1 and 2 on friday, and 1 extra hour for groups 3 and 4 on saturday). For each session, every group participant can run 5 times (so long as there aren't any problems) and more than that if there are less than 20 cars in that group. There is no requirement to run all 3 days, only a requirement to attend the mandatory drivers meeting on the day(s) you run. There are also no warm up, practice, or cool down laps. On sunday from 3-4 there will be 'orientation runs' for first timers who want to try out the track (ie if you run in the battle, you can't run in orientation). $10 a lap for that.
whew... hope that helps!
