I created a group to organize and keep track of meets, shows, and cruises in New England - cars and motorcycles welcome.

Group was started 10 days ago and we have over 100 members.

I'm not sure if this will be of any use, however I for one check facebook more regularly than the RX8club site. I created a facebook group for us New England based folks to see if that's an easier forum for us to organize events, meets, etc, etc.

288 members in the group now. I also send out weekly e-mails for events, shows, meets, cruises, etc.

If you don't know me or think this is spam (or a waste of your time). I'm also the guy that put together the Jordan's/Kelly's Big Dinner Meet at the end of last summer.

The group is now closing in on 380 members.

I'm also looking for an admin in the New England area to be a representative (officer) in the CEMA group. If you don't have a forum admin in New England then who would you suggest as the officer? He or she will be responsible in posting my weekly e-mails of events on the forum and also post events I don't have already.

On another note, I'm working on a Google Calendar for the events.

I'll volunteer to be an officer but I don't think you've met me before. I'm more active in the Mazdas247 forum and the NEPOC group. I've organized a few things here also.

CEMA is a place to receive weekly e-mails about auto shows, meets, cruises, races, etc. Members from about 15 different forums post up their events or send me e-mails and then I add them to the group and the Google calendar.
Every winter the group goes into hibernation and starts back up in the spring.

05.12.08 I started CEMA (at the time was Cruise Eastern MA) with 20 members and in the first 6 months we had 280+ members from New Jersey to Maine. The group name changed because we had members and events all over New England.
We now have 580+ members, 16 officers from different businesses and forums, and 3 admins.

The biggest complaint is from people that don't have Facebook. So, by suggestion (from someone on this board actually) I have put together a Google Calendar of all the events that are also on CEMA.
