Alt, Sunday will be laid back. Have a few and some food with us!

What time should I be at the Park and Ride off the Merritt on Sunday? Are there any plans for meeting up to ride up on Saturday or Monday?
|
10:15 am at the Stamford park & ride.
To find any caravans on the other days you should probably ask in the Limerock event thread - linked here. And mention where you would be travelling from, since I am guessing you're not currently in Michigan? lol. |
As Dennis said. We will be meeting at around 10:15 at the park & ride off the Merrit Parkway exit 35 High Ridge Rd. I just ordered up a new grill, so I will have that and some food. Bring up your favorite grub and drinks.
Oh, Jenn- welcome to the club! |
Slight blonde moment.. should have realized when you said Exit 15 that I'm going to be farther North and East and it'd double my drive time to meet up with you guys there....
Thanks! Woot! |
I said exit 35 (2nd blonde moment).
|
:lol2: nice.
I'm still undecided on my route, since it will double my drive time to go to Stamford first. But I'm leaning towards doing it anyway b/c the trip straight west is either rural routes (ie slow & lots of lights) or a circuitous route using 395 which usually has a massive police presence. Plus the caravan ride up from Stamford would be sweet. How many people are you expecting in Stamford, John? So depending on where you are on that Sunday I could meet you somewhere along 95 south, Jenn. Where are you going to be Sunday morning? |

Southern CT guys: If you're coming up 15.. what exit are you guys taking off of that? If you're going to end up on 691 in Meriden, I can easily meet up with you... maybe that'd be easy for you too, dmc27.. What's the plan of action? |
The "short" route for me would be Rt 6 thru Hartford. Going west through CT makes it a 125 mile drive, vs. 230 if I go to Stamford then north. But the drive down Rt 6 will suck, and I would get sooo lonely. lol.
Based on the maps I'd wager John's plan is to go straight up Rt 7 to Lakeville. But that could be the same po-dunk town crap that Rt 6 would be for me. Though I have no issue w/that type of drive, b/c when you have a solid line of cars rolling through small towns it's epic coolness. What's the planned route from Stamford, John? |
We are going to go up RT 7 a quick hit on 84 then back roads up.
Jenn, sorry to put you out like that, but it was funny. Not sure how many yet. I do know the following. John FB Jason FC Brian 8 Ed FC Sean FB Dennis 8 not sure if hes coming all our way There will probably be more. |
Lol I don't care, I get it all the time. I enjoy laughing at myself too..
Sounds like we might not cross paths?:dunno: No biggie if we don't, I'll definitely be in the corral... |
Put me on as a definite to meet you there. Rt. 7 looks like a nice drive, and at least I know I can blast down 95 & Merritt. That way I know for sure how long it'll take me to get to a meet point. Plus going west will be lots of slower roads and might save me some gas $$$ but it won't be anywhere near as much fun.
|
^that was directed to John.
Looks like I'll meet Jenn at Limerock, then. k, I'm leaving work to go to work. bleh. |
NO problem Dennis, I already know your 8 cant keep up with me anyway.
Got the new grill in yesterday, all set to fire it up. Lets make sure people bring food to grill and consume! |
Just to make sure there's no misunderstanding: I'm meeting you in Stamford, John. The ride through CT going straight west will suck - so I'm not going that route.
I guess we'll find out if my poor little renesis can keep up! lol. I will just have to meet Jenn at Limerock, rather than somewhere in mid CT. p.s. drunk posting is difficutl shit. |
Agree drunk psoting sux. I think I'm meeting everyone at Lime Rock. I'll have a passenger so it won't suck so bad. So psyched.
|
Ok, Dennis, sorry if i was confused.
People meeting in Stamford for the cruise up at 10:15am. John FB Jason FC Brian 8 Ed FC Sean FB Dennis 8 |

Dont worry about bringing food that day, we got yah covered because of the long drive. Unless you bring some of the high octaine Canadian beer! Do you want "regular" canadian beer like Molson Ex, Labatt Blue, etc or some of the better stuff from our most excellent micro-breweries? |
Mendossa, get something good!
I spoke with Matty on the 7 board and he will be meeting us in route to the event. The second meet point will be in Brookfield on Sunday at the Mobile on the Rt 7 and 25 interchange. We should be getting there around 11:25am or so. 10:30am departure time: John FB Jason FC Brian 8 Ed FC Sean FB Dennis 8 Meet up in Brookfield 11:20 departure time Matty |
