That’s funny that you say that because I also take grad courses at CCSU. I’m in Copernicus hall for classes Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. What time are you there?

 

I'm in Copernicus also!!! On Wednesdays from 5-7:40! But my prof usually ends class early... I always go to Subway for dinner right before class. Where do you park in the garage?

 

I'll be in Cromwell on Saturday early afternoon (free around 1ish). I'll likely be recovering on Sunday/celebrating... My bday is Sunday so I'm going out Saturday night in Avon.

I park in the Copernicus garage but I haven’t driven the RX-8 to school this year so you wouldn’t have seen it. I’m trying to keep the mileage low on it so I drive it one year on one year off. What I have been driving is a blue civic hatch but now that’s all apart because I’m turboing it, so now I’m in a Buick. LOL! Do you go to that Subway that’s behind school right by the highway, cuz I’m there all the time? My friend owns 111 Recovery tow truck shop right behind Subway so that’s why I always eat there.

 

Ha yeah!! That's the Subway I go to! You probably won't see the 8 unless it's super nice out now. I'll be driving my pickup (silver Frontier, older body style) for the winter time.

Agreed. I'm garaging my 8 for the cold months. Will be driving my 97 Yukon for the winter, I love my truck.

Let me know what you need help with man. Where are you located?? Idk if we are going to have any more meets with most of our 8s put away for the winter but I don't mind meeting for the sake of keeping it going. You can PM me with questions, I'll try to answer them the best I can.

 

im over in New Haven, ct, Im new to the area, but most of the stuff i need a hand with is just simple things, iv found the DIY for the heater not working, but im a little iffy about ripping out the radio and soldering.

 

Yea that was a pain. I had to take it apart to install a gauge display and it was hard doing it by myself. I found it incredibly hard not to break the plastic tabs that hold the center console together.

 

anyone around new haven willing to give me a hand? im trying to fix my heat i did everything re soldered the connections, but when i put the unit back in the display lights up but doesnt show anything, and the radio doesnt work, all connections seemed snug. any more suggestions?

 

All I could say is to check it again. Maybe you accidentally melted a wire when you soldering?

 

nvm the unit wasnt all the way connected in, now im going to smack myself with the soldering gun, but hey i got heat now
