ok so last night on the way home a car sneeks up beside me and revs the engine so his BOV goes off go fig yellow RX8 why cant these people sign on and come to the meets, i mean really where did all the CT members go? do i have to put sticky notes on all the 8s i see to get them to come out?

 

No idea, maybe more on your side of the state than mine. In Fairfield county I've seldom seen any. Saw a red one that came to where I worked then it no longer came so I presume he sold it; this was before I bought mine. One used to park in my apt complex lot but alike to the red one, no longer was present over time. Saw another same color sunlight silver come out of a backroad to head south to Wilton as I do every morning once. Lastly saw a stormy blue in Wilton here heading back, once.

I rarely see any Rx8's, maybe a few times a year on the road. Even when I went down to south central PA last weekend, through CT/NY/NJ/PA I didn't see a single one.

 

see my side of the state SE corner there arent to many of them but i know in the stratford area there are a bunch. or that side of the state atleast. you coming out to the next meet?

im interested in any meet thats in the hartford county.. i missed the other ones any 1 local wanna help me with my fish tank 4 a rear tail?? i did have a fun little meeting with a darker silver 8 on 84 in hartford i was late 4 work so i happily drove as crazy as i needed but ended up to be to congested 4me........

 

just come to the meets there alot of fun even if there not in hartford county

 

Weekly locations are decided at the weekly meeting spot. Everyone drives about one hour to the meets so shoe up and we can discuss a location in your area for the next meet. If u truly love your car u won't mind driving it an hour.

 

I'm in fairfield co. but i don't mind going a hour or so. Can't make the august 5th but i'll def get in on the next one.

 

i'm in fairfield county too. danbury to be exact. There are these things called honda meets every mondays and thursdays at a mcdonald's area near exit 8. there is more than enough room for a bunch of pple to come. Don't worry guys it may b called a honda meet but more than just honda's show up. challengers show up, mustangs, sti's, evo's, srt4s, trucks, bikes. last one i went to a vette z06, porche 911, and lotus elise showed up.

 

I should be there, just picked up my 2006 RX-8 last weekend.

nah man i can't tonite if i had known about this earlier this week i could have probably made it. how many pple usually show up to the meets? oh and wat time is the one tonite and other ones usually at?

 

We meet at 7 or 8, tonight its 8.
Usually about 4 or 5 people but we're always trying to get more.

 

what do you guys usually do and idk if i'd fit in with you guys i'm 18, you guys are probs like 25+

 

Usually it is a bar but we'll let you know if we do any shows or races, we're mostly 21-25, but if you got an 8 you're always welcome

 

well theres a bowlin place in new milford which is two towns over that has glow in the dark bowlin durin the weekends. not sayin that we should go there just a suggestion for a bowlin nite or something

BTW, MVP is hosting a track day at Watkins Glen Halloween weekend... It's $250 for one day with 6, 20 minute runs... All you need is a helmet....

I like the idea of the meets but most places suggested are over an hour for me to reach plus being at 8 at night, by the time I leave and get back it's close to midnight on a weekday when I need to get up by 6 am for work the next day. Earlier or weekend meets would make more sense IMO, or once a month weekend meet instead of trying to meet up once a week for everyone in CT. It seems most of you are close range of one another so that's easy to meet up weekly but not so much in my case.

 

Nice, I grew up within an 1 1/2 hour from Watkins Glen in CNY. Had a friend of my uncles in my racing days who did Watkin Glens with old roasters, not sure if he still does that.
