Well, thats right, I've been gone for a while..but now Im back. (although most of you probably dont know me anyway)...I've recently moved to New Paltz,... I've only seen one other 8 around here..Was wondering if anyone lives in the New Paltz or Surrounding areas?..and if there are any meets or upcoming events that I might be able to attend...

I'm in Newburgh, so only a few mins away. I have only seen 2 8's around. There don't seem to be too many around here, hence the "if you want to go to a meet you have to drive far." Titanium Gray here, what do you have?

 

I used to be from there, in between middletown and newburgh, bt im up there alot. If you see a red 8 with VA plates that would be me.

 

Velocity Red in Poughquag. Not many at all around the area. I've seen one maybe two. I like it though, that's one of things I liked about the car. It's an eye catcher and most people don't even know what it is. I wonder where all the RX8s are that Middletown mazda sells.

 

I know since ive got my car i have people yelling at me while i drive ........NICE CAR. i cant do anything but smile.

 

Definitely...noone around here knows what it is. All summer I don't think I was out once w/o someone pulling up next to me with compliments.

I was wondering the same thing about Middletown Mazda, salituro. I didn't get mine from there because they were jerks and wanted $200 a month more than I'm paying now. They tried to get me into a mazda 6.

 

Thats' strange about Middletown Mazda. I went to them because they gave the car away. I was going o wait until spring, but then decided if I could find a good deal on a Red w/all the options I wanted, I would go for the 04. I bought at the end of October. Sticker price was just under 36K (loaded) and I got it for 30K. Best price I found between NY & CT, besides the fact it was Red and had everything I wanted. I didn't care for the Nav, but it had it also. I can't wait for spring because my car has been sitting for the last several weeks. I take it out to get some exercise when the roads are clean and dry. That's pretty good. Who sold you the car? I bought snow tires, so I've been able to take it out when the weather isn't the best if I have to. They make such a big difference.

Francisco was the salesman, but the sales manager had a lot to do with the sale. I was getting it below invoice because they gave me their dealer cash on top of the rebate. The sales manager told me they had 6 or 7 on the lot and if they didn't get rid of them before winter they would be stuck with them until spring. He said people do not but sports cars in the winter. I told him, my thoughts exactly, that's why I'm here to take advantage and get a great deal now.
