I live in Hampton Roads, Virginia...any rx8 clubs?

 

There are alot of them also look into the DC/VA threads.

 

yeah we usually post in this thread. its been kinda dead lately though. there is also the Hampton Roads Rotary Car Club and we have meets every month. you should come out to one sometime. i'm the guy with the blue 8 with lots of carbon fiber.

 

I need to get out there to a meet sometime, I just need to plan out the weekend with the company so I can sign out one of our rx8s at the right time. The Z clubs dont do it for me out here so I think I will abuse my rights to take the company cars out. I cant make it out there the 18th this month though, hitting skyline in the Z that weekend.

Thanks everyone! Yea, I've been wanting to find a "cool" club. I'd like to come out either next time, or the time after! I don't have a pic yet...but it's b/c I'm waiting for my goodies to get here....just put on the new VIS Razor carbon fiber hood and just ordered the Carbon Creations GT Competition Front Bumper along with the mishimoto carbon fiber air intake system looks like i'm going to be one of the ones with all the carbon fiber too! will be ordering side skirts and rear bumper soon. I will get a pic up soon!!! promise!

Sleepy-z, we should've had you guys come out to VIR for the Grand Am race. We had a good turnout of 7's & 8's, but no 09's. There was a smaller Z contigent there as well.

yeah I heard, I am have withdrawls with the Z, I never drive it and I pay insurance for something that just sits in the garage. I actually drive the rx8 from work more then my own Z. I will get to something in one of the rx8's and quietly fit in without saying a word about who I am :p

 

Nuke, are you heading up to Jenro's on the 25th? I'm gonna try and get up there if the weather's descent. Dan's coming by on Sunday to adjust our compressor belts, but I'll probably have a mod night in the near future. I've got some cooling mods I'm going to have to install.

 

if you are talking about the rotary club meet, its on the 18th(THIS SATURDAY) not the 25th. i will be there. i'm going to a Halloween/Birthday party on the 25th. let me know when the mod night is. i have a few bugs with my car i'm trying to sort out.

 

Damnit! you were right. i just checked the club site and they did change it to the 25th. i don't think i will be going now. we should meet up this saturday at Dan's place or something.

 

I thought I read that you discovered that your coils were the problem. The weather will be crappy on Saturday

 

yeah i changed them out. there's a story i have about that i'll share later. my exhaust still rattles and my car shakes when i come to stops. bad engine mounts? my cars runs strong otherwise.

 

Does your car also pull to one side when you stop? I'd look at your brake rotors.

 

no, i don't think so. i do have another set of rotors(aka rusted rotors delete kit) i want to put on.

 

hey jskup1, you mind if i come over on sunday to hangout while you and Dan are playing with your S/C's? i just got some hood dampers today and i need a little help with my hood.

On another note, I sent the address of the Hampton Roads Rotary Club to a guy that just moved from Lynchburg to Chesapeake. He drives a Protege5 I think so if you guys see him make him feel welcome (Steven).

well i found out where it rattles. its the gas tank heat shield. looks like i'm gonna have to pull the exhaust again. possibly new motor mounts too.

 

somebody smack me WW is nice to the eyes!hope to get around to traveling futher out to some of these club meets before the snow keeps us down!
