Londonderry NH. If you see an orange rotary pickup driving around, that's me. I've also got a Mazdaspeed6 that is my daily driver / winter beater.

need help fellas ! my friend has a shop in Manchester and he just turbo'd my 2004 RX8. Everything seems to be wrking perfectly but he says it has a little rattle noise which he cant figure out what it is or where its coming from. If anyone is very familiar with the RX8 and is in this area please let me know if its something you think you can go check out and hopefully give us an idea of what it might be.

You might want to reach out to Synaptic 3 in Candia, NH. As far as I know, they've got the most experience in the area with rotary performance mods.

there is a thread on here that is dedicated to finding certain rattles/noises. i believe you can search for "rattlefind" or something of that nature, also check the DIY section in here too. my guess is it might be a motor mount, as ive heard they had some recalls on those for the 2004 models and may make that rattle that you speak of.

How's it going guys? I just recently bought an RX8 and I am experiencing few problems with it. I'm from Dover by the way. Anyways, I noticed my clutch has been slipping. Not only that, every time when I first start the car, it wouldn't engage in Reverse, and when I tried to put it in first, it wouldn't go in but it would somehow move the car like an inch or two. It's weird. Lastly, the clutch pedal is also down to the floor. But I still can turn on the car and drive the car perfectly, except the fact that the clutch is slipping. I am just wondering on how could I get the clutch pedal back up and so I won't have to experience the problem I'm having every time I start it. I have a feeling that I should just buy a complete Exedy Clutch Kit and replace everything, as well as the Master and Slave Cylinder. Am I Right?

Personally, I'd take it in to Seacoast Mazda and have them diagnose it for you. At least you'd have an expert opinion before doing anything. Part of it might just be bleeding the clutch cycl., but the slipping part, maybe not.

Is it free to diagnose ? And for slipping clutch, it is recommend to replace the whole clutch right? I just bought the EXEDY Stage 1 Heavy Duty Organic and brand new pair of Master & Slave Cylinder. Hopefully this would fix everything?

Questionable, but why not call and ask. I'm sure they'll help you out if they can. I'm no clutch expert, but if your clutch is slipping, it's likely seen some hard times. When they had my car apart they found the clutch springs on the pressure plate totally busted and broken. Cool looking when he showed me. Tech said that happens from power shifting. Who woulda though I'd ever done that in the bazillion times I'd slamed the clutch thru the gears on track lol!

Heya,

I'm from Montreal, but visit family in NH quiet often, love the mountain roads. Actually my 8 spends winters there. If there are meets come spring, I'd stop by!
