My condolences Blazen. I believe you are not the original owner? How many miles were on it when you purchased her?

Its Trademarks (Tim's) car that pooped its pants. I don't think he's the original owner.

No I am not the original owner... While doing regular work I realized very quickly that this car was most likely owned by a woman before me who thought she should work on a car... or just someone that had NO idea what they were doing.

As far as the "blue" smoke goes... I hadn't noticed a damn thing and I was keeping an eye out too for any problems... The car was actually running like a champ... though it would seem it's preformance had apexed... or lack thereof.

As far as the clutch goes - Had to get to work and I figured 3 days babying it there and back wouldn't be too bad since the clutch had already been slipping for a few days... I've never had a clutch blow out on a car in 65k miles. It did blow out... On my way home to put it up on jack stands... and meg spent a good hour cleaning out the clutch from the walls of my bell housing with a toothbrush.

EDIT:
Ironically enough it did blow out
There is nothing ironic about this... removed.

Damn Jon you were on a roll there lol!

I'm on the Mobile site and it doesn't show sigs.

Not my engine that blew but I still have 49400 miles of warranty left which I'll never do in the 5 years or so thats left on warranty. I've had my car for a year now and barely done 4000 miles.

On a lighter note, going dancing Saturday night if those of you whom had mentioned interest would like to go along. Nice learning environment.

Salsa, racing, salsa, racing.

Kristen and I have a wedding that night... if I keep going to these she's going to want a ring herself.

I have a 1995 Ford Bronco for sale if you want it. 18x,xxx miles. Great on gas, body is in great shape, never had any problems with it. But its 2k.

...but seriously, you have an hour commute back and forth to work? What are you going to do for the 1 month-ish that an engine swap will take?

never give a ring to the girl who is already planning or has already planned her wedding unless you know for sure her daddy is paying for the entire thing. It'll simply become the most expensive date you've ever had which you invited every single person you know to bare witness to the great mistake.

I would let her leave since obviously the titled of "married" means more to her than the actual relationship.

How is the Geo not a death trap?....

The Bronco: 4x4 with firestone winterforce tires... most people have to shovel their driveways... I never have. (except for Kristens 10ft into her car port vs my 120 ft uphill into my car port/garage.)

Also, the Bronco isn't for sale. Its been sitting the yard with a busted U-joint for like 2 months. Not to mention the broken front springs.

Her dad passed away when she was a little girl... thanks for being so sensitive.

dick.

But yes. The modern wedding is a celebration of excess... a very expensive celebration at that.

Kristen: I want to get married or I'll leave

Steve: Well, I'm sure the guy you get married to wouldn't like you staying with me, anyway. Cause I know you're sure not talking about marrying me.

Ah but in the same sense if you let her leave the title of not being married is more important than the relationship to you
And guess what? It's a lot easier for a girl to find a guy than vice versa. Be happy she's willing to put up with your **** lol!
I mean that in a general way of course.

And true the wedding can be ridiculously expensive but if that's the only reason to not get married then just have a small wedding or elope to Vegas for a week or two so you both will enjoy it instead of just the bride :P

I highly disagree as you were not the one who presented the ultimatum.

Yep. Execpt there is a difference between that person constantly posting usless dribble for products of no use to anyone, and my personal opinion

No, because it's a known fact that the 3/4 shift fork in the series 1 transmissions is garbage.

Point? lubrication of an engine is just that. Pretty sure Royal Purple isn't selective in only destryoing transmissions and non rotary engines. I don't think Skynet has become self aware yet...

I don't need to provide data for personal opinion. I have never, and will never recommend Royal Purple to anyone for anything. And if someone is using it, I will try and get them to switch.

Im not a chemist, but I have a friend that is. He has a lab. Do you want me to get viscosity tests done on the oil? Will that suffice. I have seen other internal combustion engines grenade from not being properly lubricated. I can get sworn notarized testemonies from these people if need be. That may take me some time, as there are quite a few people I would have to get in contact with.

It can be done though.

It doesn't start off as an ultimatum though lol. Usually if there's an unwillingness to compromise on either side then ultimatums come into play.

Autozone now carries royal purple! No need to hike up to summit for special oil weights.

You're welcome, RX8 club.

Steve, you ***. lol.

as for my stance on marriage, i speak from experience. my first engagement ended because to her, as has been stated, it was all about the "fun of being engaged and getting married" and nothing about the actual relationship. The shitty thing about it all was that it was my mother's ring and it was never returned.

that was someone different though, not my wife heather. She is however, also applicable to my thoughts on weddings. If the girl has some huge to-do planned out for her wedding, only go along with it if her daddy is the one paying for it (or mommy, whoever... shut up steve). Because she did want a big wedding and i wasn't for it. Her parents paid for it and i had no prob with that at all. I'd have taken care of it had it been something sensible. it... wasn't... without a doubt it was nice. but, it was most definitely excessive.
