There is a fuel cutoff at 9500RPMs that you hit. Compression problems come much much lower from everything everyone has reported...normally like 4500 or so.
Oh, that's a relief then! I have seen people talk about maintaining RPMs over redline, so I didnt think there was a limiter or cutoff. Is there an ECU flash or chip that removes that?

The Cobb AP will remove it...but why would you want to? You stop making power at 9000 rpm so there is no point in continuing unless you just want to heat up your engine.
I'm going to post a set of wheels and tires if anyone is interested.

can someone please tell me about the headlights in the rx8 i am seeing there is a xenon and non-xenon lights for the rx8 or HID or halogen? How do you know what headlight assembly ur rx8 has? as i need to replaced my cracked passenger side assembly and now i am not sure what to get
13sampsRx8- Does you car's lights look like every other vehicle's plain yellowish color?
If it does, you have halogen. If it has a blueish tint and then pure white when it warms-up, you have HID.
Another thing with the HID is when you turn them on, they generate this quick flash (hard to explain unless you've seen it).
I believe the HID are standard with the Touring and GT packages.

Black Cherry FTW! Man i love this color... just nothing else quite like it. That came from my cellphone too and wasn't photoshopped except to reduce the image from 1600 to 800 wide.

do you guys normally get a little condensation "smoke" right when you turn the AC on if its raining? Ive run the AC a few times this sprint/summer and havent noticed it before today when it was raining pretty hard. I turned it on in the middle of ~40 mile drive and got a very faint white smoke with no smell that is there for maybe 5 seconds. If i shut the AC off for a few minutes and turn it back on it happens again.
I am pretty sure its condensation, but I am not used to this coming from my focus so I wanted to make sure

I'm just glad I'm at work now so I am limited to listening to the Cavs on the radio and watching the GameCast on the ESPN website.
Its much more stressful watching them on TV.

Hey guys, I'm officially back stateside. Only saw 1 rx8 in China, and it was the last night I was there at this bar district... I tried to take a picture, but in my state, I'm sure it didn't turn out. It was Red.... weird.
Car started right up (i had the battery disconnected) but scared the crap out of me because it stalled twice at idle. I instantly thought SSV again, but it was just fuel trims I think.
And my very bad luck with speeding came to haunt me again... in the mail waiting for me was a freakin' ticket from a speed camera in Cleveland. 46 in a 35... 100 bucks. I'm like, are you serious??
Anyway, good to be back.
TJ: I know you got a new OEM cat, want me to try to fix that midpipe?
Streets: let me know about the wheels and tires so I can plan with Jon.

Welcome back! Did you bring us any presents? Like cool straw hats?
Don't get me started on those damned things. That's a "civil" penalty, so at least they don't get reported to your insurance co. and there are no points associated with them. It's also why they can ignore due process.
At least you get a cool photo out of it. Here's mine.
