I saw that. I may or may not go depending on how clean I can get the car.

I will definately be attending the Charity Autocross the day after though

I'm gonna Run the Wilson Circuit over at Beaverun on Sat instead of the NORA Charity thing.

I gotta tell you. Doing that circuit is the single most fun thing I 've done in the car. I HIGHLY recommend it if anyone else wants to go. It's like an autocross without cones on a racetrack. Best of both worlds.

I've run the Wilson Circuit a couple times before, it is definately a fun little "track"

One of these days I'm gonna get back out there and run it again (haven't run in the RX-8 yet)

Well I think I solved my issue, or masked it. Either way. I richened up my idle in the emanage (Which I read up that you can't do) and made it burn nice and rich at idle, smoothed it out once the ecu learned it. In other words I need to buy an accessport.

My friend came across this i thought it was pretty funny..
"The Rx8 is like the prom queen. Sweet, sensual, and you love her.
The 350z is like the school ****. Low quality but you still ride her brains out."

Hopefully the dealership didn't flag your car because of the intake.. Which dealer did you go to?

They can flag your car as warranty voided.

You bought an extended warranty for your car which I wouldn't think would cover a CAT. It SHOULD be covered under your warranty with Mazda.

Isn't that cat covered for 75,000 miles or something like that?? Even if you bought the car used with a separate warranty with Serpentini (who is falling apart IMO lol), you should still have en exisiting Mazda Warranty effective through the standard time periods. What's your mileage at?

They aren't denying that it has a warranty...they are voiding it because he has a catback and an intake.

Right I get that.. I was just saying, so in case someone can loan him maybe a stock exhaust to put on temporarily so he can take it in and try and get warranty on it.

I have my stock exhaust at my parents. It's right down the street from him. However they likely flagged him and made note of why. If they did, and we put the stock stuff back on, we could be looking at criminal charges of fraud, which is totally not cool!

What is the problem with your cat anyway?

Cat is clogged and if he removes the parts and takes it back it isn't fraud unless they ask him about it and he lies.

Or, as I said, they noted it.

Isn't his car newer? How the hell did the cat clog? I thought that stopped happening around the M flash.

He has an 04 or 05. They could have noted it...and they would ask him about it and he would just have to say that he must have misunderstood what the last guy said about them not supporting it because his intake and exhaust were on the car.
