Ran in Toledo today. TOTALLY different Ax. VERY! Fast. I didn't suck. But I was way off pace. I found the lines I wanted to be on. Now. I just need to find my fast again.

I downloaded at 650 KB/sec, so the file didn't take too long to download.

FYI... You have roughly 1 minute of good video with you driving and the other is the "post-run".
You can cut-out the unnecessary parts to the video, which will help decrease the video size.
I won't get into different codec and settings within the codec to help with quality and size, what you're using is fine.

Owning it and knowing how to use it are 2 different things. I'll try to work on it. Sorry.

I believe you have Movie Edit Pro 14.
I have version 15 so the layout might be a little different looking.

1. Once you import the video, move the reference line (orange line you see in the 1st pic) to the point in the video you want to cut-out
2. Click on edit at the top and select 'Split' (I believe your version is different here).
   You can also press 'T' as a keyboard short-cut.
3. Once you split the video you'll see that the video segment is split into two sections (refer to the 2nd pic).
4. Click on the segment you don't want which will "highlight" it (like in pic #2) and simply press the 'Delete' key to remove that section (refer to the 3rd pic).

Same method can be done if you want to remove something in the middle of a video clip.
Just use the split at the beginning and the end of the part you don't want, delete the segment, then simply drag the videos together to combine the sections.

I did what you said, but can only save as .mvd. Nothing else will open that format. Can't save as .avi. (at least I don't know how)

Never mind. I see that is an export. I'll have to play with this. later.

 

I edited it. Only shows to end of run. But file size tripled.

The meet was nice... however, I did end up the day with another speeding ticket. Driving through Erie the speed limit does drop to 55 (I was not aware of this) and I had my cruise set at 73... so, 73 in a 55 for 150 bones... Plus the 125 bucks for the new tire on friday. . . that money would have covered some tint.

It was cool to see everyone and see the subtle differences in each 8.

Dana - I'll look into when someone can get to that BOV project. Considering some of the special skills required, there may be some minimum cost involved, I don't know if I can make it a freebee, but I'll look into it.

Since we're on the tech topics, does anyone know what might cause my wife's new laptop to not play Youtube videos? It's an HP and running Vista. I assume it has something to do with security features, and from what I've read it seems to be a common problem. Anyone have any ideas??

 

Updated flash player installed? IE or Firefox?

 

It's IE, and I would assume that the flashplayer is updated since the computer is only a couple of months old.

 

May not even have flash installed. I would go to the Adobe site and try and update it. Also I would try installing Firefox and see if the issue occurs there.

 

I know! I'm probably the least aggressive driver in the group too.
