I gotta meet somebody Sunday evening for dinner. Need a nice but inexpensive place in Akron area to meet. They're coming from Alliance. Any suggestions?

I've also been a fan of Luigi's.
Good food and decent price... like any mom/pop Italian restaurant.
Here is their site, but not very informative:

I need more details before I could recommend anything... is this a lady friend? Like more exotic foods or something more traditional? Classic style or something more "hipster" where people don't go to college, they go to University. Candle light or focused LEDs?

Geesh. He said a place in Akron, not a place in London.

Hey... Akron has 1 place like that (that I know of) . . . I didn't like it, and I just remembered they probably don't have Guinness - so that's out.

Wait... in Guinness organic?

Also, Ryan - to make this easier on me, PM me your address again if you removed the link. I know you're like 2 blocks north of summit mall, but I don't remember exactly.

And does anyone going to Ryan's have a polish I could use on my exhaust? I may be trading up to an AP with another forum member.

If you are looking for something unique, over on W. Market is a little mediterranian place called Aladdins. Wonderful food.

Here's their site: http://www.aladdinseatery.com/

Couldn't recommend a better place than there i think.

Aladdins is too far up. I'm looking more closer to 76/77 split. Remember, she's coming from Ashland. But thanks for the idea! I knew I could count on you guys!

Is there anything around South Arlington and 77. There's a Starbucks there that we can meet and head over from.

I've got a crapload. Your choice of Borla's exhaust cleaner or Old English Custom Polish. I still haven't had a chance to use the Borla stuff but the English works great on everything.

So Pics or it never happened, right? FINALLY got shots from Sebring! I can't post them or save them (not sure why) but I'll link 'em.

Here's an overview of all the cars/trailers from the group I was hanging out with all week. They're almost all from NE Ohio (one of the Viper guys is from Michigan) and most have been coming down to Sebring for years.

http://flickr.com/photos/designjesse...7612681785207/

Here's the Ford GT ALMS car after getting wrecked. This thing was the loudest car I've ever heard and it shot fire out of the exhaust. They actually had two of them down there:

http://flickr.com/photos/designjesse...7612681785207/

Here's a great shot of my car in our area:

And here's the two shots of my car. Unfortunately the guy with the camera was running in the same group as me but one morning they couldn't get their car running so he managed to snap off a couple of my 8:

You can go through his other pictures and see my buddies C4 Corvette, the 600capable whp (tuned down to 480) R32 that Jesse and his dad drove, and the blue Viperspeed vipers that the other guys in our group were racing.

I'm sure he's got more pics stashed away somewhere. Really want one of the brush fire next to the track.

Ew! your car is green?

Anyway, yeah, I'd like to throw some polish on there and see what's what.

Still gotta pull the heater control here shortly too... ugh, I'm dreading this because I feel like I'm going to break something.

You feel like that because you are going to break something.

Hey if you happen to know of anywhere that has ultra-fine 'bronze wool' pick some up. Supposed to be the best stuff to use to help clean dirty exhaust tips. Supposedly they have them in boat supply stores but I don't have any idea where one of those is since I don't have a boat.

If you don't I've got ultra-super-super-remarkably-fine steel wool. Supposed to still do the trick.

Yeah, it probably will... step one is just going to be clean them off...

Going out to buy my wire and switch tonight for the kill switch install.

Already did my rear view mirror mod to get it to be dark all the time, it was sweet! Mods on a budget!

to clean the carbon off my tips I used some break dust cleaner that I got from Murray's. It was one of those multipurpose no work bottles. Worked really well with a rag on the carbon.

I have way more than carbon cooked onto my tips... salt, road grim, carbon, and I used my tips to cook bacon on in November... so also some bacon grease.
(yeah, i'm joking, but my tips are AWFUL looking)

Care to bring down the brake cleaner if you're coming on sunday? I'll try them both out on each tip and see what we get...

I have this stuff, don't remember what it is called (it's blue though) and it cleaned the **** out of my tips.

Let's put it this way, my tips were never cleaned, completely black and nasty. Not even 5 minutes a side and bam!!

Here's how they shined up. I'll bring this stuff too.

Steve - I put the link on the Social Group page.

https://www.rx8club.com/groups/rx-8-club-northeast-ohio-5/

Whenever we have meets we can post the info there so there's somewhere to look when things roll off the screen on these threads.

Can't find much else useful about the social group thingy. Except group photos.
