Again, I know it's an 8 forum but I am guessing that a lot of you had a 7 at one point. My father has a 7 that needs a new engine. Is there a shop that someone can recommend that can sell and install a new/rebuilt motor at a rebuilt price? He really loves the car (it's why I bought my 8!) and would hate to see him get rid of it.

There are some shops and individuls in VA and PA that have done engine swap deals in the past. You didn't mention which generation, though. Some only do 1st or 2nd gens. Others only do 3rd gens. If you post to the Rotors & Roadsters listserve managed by MSCW you will be able to get recommendations from several reliable sources. Perhaps someone on the listserve also knows of closer shops to CT.

I'm not sure if they work on rotaries, but you may want to give XXTuning a call. They do some good work and I have spoken to satisfied customers who drive high horsepower IS300s and Supras. Again, I'm not sure if they work on rotaries but they are a good shop in CT. Hope this helps.

Also, Mother's Performance in NJ does good work on RX-7s and there are a couple of RX-8s that are going to them for tuning on their greddy turbos

you can get a reman. 13B for around 2 grand. any reputable shop should be able to do a motor swap.
