Then My car should be on that ship too too!

I only put the down payment on the car less than 2 days ago- and it was slated for 4th week Aug, so I bet it's here.

I was planning on pre ordering in the winter- even negotiated a $1600 of MSPR- then I got cold feet

I toyed with the idea of getting a hatchback SAAB 93, (I really love my Probe GT hatch)

AFter seeing the 8 at in the NY Auto show (The only reason I went) I was really impressed, but still unsure. AFter reading here about people getting their cars and loving them- then test driving 2, I decided to get the 6speed- though I was shopping for an automatic.

hope I don't regret it- since I live and drive mostly in manhattan.

mine showed up at the dealer totally unexpected last tuesday... wasn't expecting it until a week or so from now which meant I didn't have anything ready (insurance/loan) and didn't pick it up till that thursday..... but i'm not complaining :p

I think you're going to be fine. I've been driving mine in stop and go traffic mostly, and my husband even got stuck in Beltway rush-hour traffic for two hours in it last week. No problems at all. And, our gas mileage (even with the beltway mess) jumped up to 19mpg.

This is truly one of the easiest sticks I've ever driven, in spite of some reports. You won't regret it at all, and when/if you're ever out of Manhatten driving it, you'll be VERY glad you got the stick.
