2007 New England Spring Run, Adirondacks May 19th and 20th!!
Just wanted to also thank everyone who was instrumental in putting the run together with a special thanks to Darksyde and RX-Eight-7s. We had a blast and can't wait to the next run. I was a pleasure to meet everyone again from last years coastal run, and everyone new on this run.
After RX8Maine and I broke off after the Lincoln Gap, I ended up going through Smuggler's notch, which was awesome. They still had snow along the edges near the top, which added a new element to the run.

Deslock, I posted the 4 Silver Horsemen picture (I promised you) over on the thread in the photo's section.
Thanks for leading in so many ways. Your leadership throughout the weekend made the whole run more enjoyable for everyone involved. KUDOS!

That's a great pic, can you send me the full resolution pic?
Hey all! What a great run! I couldn't get the video preview link to work... Solution?
ANyway, I have been swamped with work and taking care of stuff at home. I am feeling much better now. Sore throat has moved to my sinuses but is on it way out I hope. I will post pics ASAP.
Thank you all again for attending and I will get to work on the t shirt idea!

hi all. posting from the convention in n'awlins. I forgot how good the food is down here.
had an awesome time on the run, and really appreciate you all waiting for my tardy **** on Saturday. I finally realize why some members have flipped the rearview mirror. It does get in the way of your view in the hills.
I'll post up the few pics I've got, and can't wait to get a look at the video & pics. But it will have to wait since I'm running on wifi and it's not even close to fast enough for the big stuff.
Few notes, tho. Thanks to those that put this all together. And to Chris for the radio use. Glad I left when I did - by the time I grabbed a quick dinner & picked up the dog, it was nearly 7pm when Kathleen & I got home. Tho I did get to play w/the Viper guys for quite a while - picked them up just after the albany interchange that heads to rt90. There were 7 Vipers running in a line when I saw them.
Filled up in Lake Placid & hit 275 miles on the odo b4 the light came on! Best tank ever, and the first 50 miles or so was all 3 & 4th gear from LP to Ausable.

Also, thanks for the video Mendossa!
Thank you all for letting me join in the romp through the mountains. I loved actually getting to drive my car how it was meant to be driven with people who enjoy their cars as much as I do mine. My wife enjoyed getting out and talking with the other wives/gf's and meeting so many friendly people. If ya'll do this again around the area we would love to join in again.
And thank you to Drksyde, Mendossa (and also for that kickass video), and Deslock for organizing this and leading, and thank you again Mike for lunch Saturday.
Now I've just got to find a bunch of people in this area with Speed6's so we can have our own mountain run...

nice pictures, mark. let LJ know they look really good especially the landscape and artistic shots like the spiderweb. sorry we broke off at ausable chasm and didn't have a chance to meet up with you guys down the road but the kids were starting to fade fast.
Wow I thought it was normal for me to watch it like a zillion times since I put it together but was afraid that others would think some parts are too long and not varied enough...
I'm happy to see y'all like it!!!

I skipped this one, but I convoyed with a bunch of friends (in RX8s, GTIs, WRXs, MCSs, etc) when I went down in previous years. Also, here are some photos from one of the parade laps I did with the Miatas:

While it wouldn't have the same scope as the Adirondack run, a drive out to Mt Greylock on Sunday and Limerock on Memorial Day would be fun. We could possibly hit the Quabbin too if the starting point was closer to central MA. The views in western MA aren't as dramatic as upstate NY and VT, but there are still some nice places and worthwhile roads. It would be a shorter drive, but much of Monday would be taken up by hanging out at Limerock anyway, so that could work out well.
If people are interested in this, I can plot out some possible routes.

Of course, I was in 2 in front of you for a good portion of the 1st day. So I get to see my car in front of the silver thru plenty of it.
