Agree with you there I think we'll have a bout of both the good and the bad weather through the weekend.

Wheel Update (if anyone cares)

Konig now telling me "oops we sent discount tire direct the wrong set and it will take another 2 weeks for the ones you want to come in."

Ok thats f'ing wonderful, now that will be a total of 10 weeks of waiting for these damn wheels!

Weather Update:

Just looked 5 minutes ago and there is now rain forecasted for both days. Yippie F'ing Skippy!

Yeah I'm having a bad day...

Sorry to hear about the wheels! That sucks!

The weather is looking clear for Saturday on Lake Placid, and only 20% chance rain Sunday. I think we'll be fine weather-wise--sure, not perfect, but just some rain here and there, nothing too major.

Here's something even funnier.... I just double checked the wheels... two are correct. Two are wrong... Who in the hell orders a staggered set with only a 1/2" difference?!? Dumbasses.

If everything is still on or (dare I say) ahead of schedule when you hit Saratoga - AND no one needs to stop for parts - AND it is not raining - you should just continue up Highway 87 to Exit 18 and take the original route over Glens Falls/Luzerne Mountain Road.

Otherwise just head to my house a bit earlier and we will end up in Lake Placid a bit earlier (assuming no roadblocks from the State Police ).

The Saturday Lunch Menu:
Baked Zita
Veggie Lasagna
Tossed Salad
Garlic Bread (and regular bread)
Various finger foods and munchies
Hot dogs
Drinks

Any other requests? If someone can't find anything there that they like just let me know - I'll give you a fishing pole and some worms and let you catch your lunch out of the pond Seriously, if someone needs something else just let me know ahead of time.

The first meeting point on Saturday is:
- Park & Ride @ Bow Junction; End of I-89 & Bow/Concord line 6:30 AM
- your meetup leader is LilRedShinka
- So far there is... only LilRedShinka and husband. Is that still on? Am I late on some news?
So far, nobody has said they will be joining us in Bow Saturday morning. I don't anyone to show up and us not be there, but if nobody is really planning on joining us, we'd like to head up Friday night.

SO, IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON MEETING AT BOW JUNCTION AT THE END OF I-89 IN BOW, NH, PLEASE POST ASAP. THANKS!

They are forecasting snow flurries in Lake Placid this morning.

So if it rains on Saturday just be glad its not white rain.

FYI for those staying at the Hilton... I just called to tell them I wouldn't be there before 6 or 7 PM and they said "no problem we hold the rooms until midnight" so I guess we don't need to call to let them know it's late check-in.

Sorry guys, somethings come up and I will not be making this trip. I'm due to go to virginia next week and there were tons of things that needed to be done before I go and I haven't got to them, so thats what I'll be doing this weekend.

Besides, RWD is lots of fun in the rain, FWD not so much...

Enjoy yourselves and be good...

That sucks, we will miss you, even if it is a FWD

Sorry to hear that rodrigo67... I haven't seen your MS3 yet :-)

FYI everyone, as far as Lake Placid meeting points on Sunday morning, RX Eight 7s suggested:
We should meet in either the Hilton or Summit bar. They are both right on the North end of the village and have quick access to the village bars and restaurants.

Sounds good. We can probably make that call at lunch on Saturday, especially since it's likely there may be people who won't have time to look at the board before then.

We'll have to do this again next year for all the ppl who aren't able to make it this year!

***FINAL WORD ON MEETING AT BOW JCT./I-89 & I-93:

I HAD NO RESPONSES INDICATING THAT ANYONE WAS PLANNING TO MEET THERE SATURDAY MORNING, SO WE HAVE BOOKED A ROOM FRIDAY NIGHT. HOPE THIS DOESN'T PRESENT A PROBLEM FOR ANYONE, BUT WE COULDN'T SEE GETTING UP AT 5:30 AND BEING THE ONLY ONES TO DRIVE UP FROM CONCORD.***

We booked a room in Greenfield, MA, which is 18 miles South of Brattleboro. Most of the hotels in Brattleboro are booked up for some reason, as someone stated earlier. Depending on which direction you are coming from, here are some possible places to stay if you still want to book something Friday night:

From East (Maine, Central NH) - Keene, NH
From North (upper VT, Canada) - Putney or Bennington, VT
From South (MA border & down) - Greenfield, MA

If there is a place the Friday-nighters have decided to meet in Brattleboro, can you let me know? We'd love to hook up with you guys!

Hope we get at least a few rays of sunshine this weekend! =)

See everyone soon!

Friday night, let's meet at Flat Street Brew Pub at 6 Flat St, Brattleboro, VT at 10pm. It should be pretty central for everyone, walkable from some hotels. If it's not good, we can walk elsewhere.

My wife and I are planning to drop by RX Eight 7's house early (probably around 11:15ish) to help set with last minute food shopping/setup/cooking/taste testing.
